OK, I just changed all my Accumulators. I check with a reliable source on how to change them.

You do not need to relieve pressure or bleed the system. You can jack up one wheel at a time and change each one. There was no pressure, You unscrew old one and screw on new one. That's it!
You will need to add some fluid after you drive car for a few blocks. the level will look like it's full when you remove cap, but you will still be able to add fluid.

No codes, drives much better and I does not get an error message anymore when raising car.

New 12C owner here as of two weeks ago and hardcore DIY, including fabrication (welding TIG / MIG), wiring, building hotrods.

First Mc project was to replace the accumulators. I worked slowly and carefully including disassembling the frunk. Took about 4 to 5 hours, including a trip to pickup Pentosin 11S fluid. And maybe an hour getting the car up on my lift. Managing the doors between lift posts and low clearance for the arms is a pain. I'm working to figure this out with a ramp made of 2x10s, so the car can sit deeper between the lift posts.
Both rear accumulators were blown.
I didn't do anything special to bleed. Self bled in a very short amount of time, if not instantly. The ride quality is tremendously improved in normal handling setting (of course).
Super happy with this car. One of these days I'll remove the front bumper and do the headlights, which show some beginnings of light mold.
Also, Thanks to XPRD for quick turnaround on accumulator parts.
And for McMedics on PPI.
Cheers,
Doug

BTW - one more comment. I ended up grinding down a backup 7/8" (very close to 22mm) open end side of a combination wrench. Probably now 3/16" thick. This wasn't really necessary. I might have needed a bit of grinding, but not much. Just use a new accumulator as a gauge for the hex thickness. If your wrench head is wider than where the threads begin, grind accordingly.

Unfortunately it seems getting these accumulators made for us to a similar or better spec is proving almost impossible. I've exhausted almost all manufacturers in Europe. Half of them have had or still have deals with McLaren so don't want to look at it for obvious reasons - and of the remaining they either have no capacity right now or don't want to go near the project because of it being for automotive use (increased liability etc.).

I will try in Taiwan, apparently they have some good manufacturers.

I'm lost...ppl commented they are ez to take out and others are saying it's more difficult and those that did them were lucky? Will u need to bleed the steering fluid or can I just replace all 4 units and its done? Why is mclaren charging 3k if it's that simple?

FYI this is for 2012 mp4 12c if that helps.
Rear is very easy, front take some time but take out frunk, battery then you see ackumulators.
Change, refill fluid and start up car.
Check fluid one more time
Do full left and right turn 10-20times and even change suspension normal, sport, track some times.
Done!

Just ask the local McLaren dealer. I have one I purchased to be looked at, which I could sell you cheap. But you'll need another three.
