Just Changed My Accumulators, Super Easy!

New 12C owner here as of two weeks ago and hardcore DIY, including fabrication (welding TIG / MIG), wiring, building hotrods.

First Mc project was to replace the accumulators. I worked slowly and carefully including disassembling the frunk. Took about 4 to 5 hours, including a trip to pickup Pentosin 11S fluid. And maybe an hour getting the car up on my lift. Managing the doors between lift posts and low clearance for the arms is a pain. I'm working to figure this out with a ramp made of 2x10s, so the car can sit deeper between the lift posts.
Both rear accumulators were blown.
I didn't do anything special to bleed. Self bled in a very short amount of time, if not instantly. The ride quality is tremendously improved in normal handling setting (of course).
Super happy with this car. One of these days I'll remove the front bumper and do the headlights, which show some beginnings of light mold.
Also, Thanks to XPRD for quick turnaround on accumulator parts.
And for McMedics on PPI.
Cheers,
Doug

BTW - one more comment. I ended up grinding down a backup 7/8" (very close to 22mm) open end side of a combination wrench. Probably now 3/16" thick. This wasn't really necessary. I might have needed a bit of grinding, but not much. Just use a new accumulator as a gauge for the hex thickness. If your wrench head is wider than where the threads begin, grind accordingly.
