Not sure how tight NDA lips have to be, but I don't mind him voicing his opinion the new car. It's his business if he doesn't like it. I'm sure NDA doesn't stop someone from saying something is ugly?

I think maybe this is why this car hasn't impressed you. You've had your current 720 for awhile, so you needed that drastic change. This upcoming car wasn't it. For others, maybe it will be just what the doctor ordered. We'll see. You did somewhat kill my desire somewhat when you said front end was lazy.

I do respect your opinion and of course you are entitled to it. Not sure how tight NDA lips have to be, but I'm sure you can say something is ugly. LOL
thx man. that was my intent.

Honestly guys I don't see any reason for ruffled feathers here. We've all known for awhile that the 750 will be a refresh. Any time there's a refresh like this, it ends up being less compelling for people who bought the first cut of that model. That's not shitting on the car, that's just saying, 'it's not a big enough update for me' ¯\(ツ)/¯. 488 to F8 is the perfect comparison.

Someone who was genuinely interested in buying this car and has a somewhat accurate idea of what it's gonna be, isn't gonna be put off by a 720 owner saying they don't like the front and will sit it out. They'll be able to see it soon and judge for themselves.

I dont understand why they would change the interior AND exterior for a limited 2 years worth of production. thats such a shame and a waste of resources.

I think the production cycle is 3 years+. Mclaren needs the cashflow and i think their financials dont look too good as they are always trying to raise additional funds.
They need the $$$. haha.

I hope the 750s looks nice, but so far, 2 members says the front is "meh". a little dissapointing so far!!

To be fair, I think over 50% hated the 720 spy shots when it leaked out and a large number didn’t like it when it was officially revealed. Now it’s pretty much universally loved and considered the GOAT of its time.

I personally really dislike the 765 looks.. How much does that matter? Not at all. It’s universally loved and revered and for good reason. My point is looks are very subjective. Everyone should make up their own minds.

We will definitely have to wait and see. But I agree. all McLarens are all very beautiful indeed.

You don't like the 765LT, someone else doesn't like the 750S (who has seen it). What is there to discuss here now?

I have a pretty firm allocation for this car and will decide when I see it next month. I've been lurking in this thread for a long time and appreciate all the different viewpoints.
Having said that, this "my family lent Big money to this dealer so there" stuff is hyper-level cringe and way too much over sharing. NDA's aren't for everyone, that much is clear.

Frankly, I think this is the point. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but sharing an opinion at this stage (before the public reveal) is exactly what the NDA is meant to prevent. And the language in the NDA specifically says so. Then to follow that on with all the bragging and bravado - not a good look. McLaren has good cause to be upset.

not sure what NDA you signed but nowhere did it say to not express an opinion on the car and to relay that you are sticking with order or backing out… It specified you could not show pictures, shouldn’t describe car in detail etc… nothing in my NDA said that i couldn’t express an opinion… also, i was simply answering a good question being asked from a person which was 1- are you getting car or not after seeing it and 2- why or why not… its that simple…

BTW, they kept 35% of my deposit for the eventual hybrid so all good here. and i just saw the GM over the weekend [emoji3526]. I really think some on this thread are too sensitive, too paranoid or somewhat bitter they werent asked to view it and see my decision as throwing away a gift from mclaren… come on.

Maybe I missed it but where did he say he signed a NDA? How do you know his dealer just didn’t show him the materials they have? Let’s assume he wasn’t under a NDA, he is good friends with the dealer and that they showed him some photos. Is he now allowed to share his opinion?
Assuming he was under a NDA then I completely agree and it is wrong to violate that contract.
If he’s not under NDA and the dealer shared the information with him because he’s such a great client, then now he has gone and violated that trust and confidence. “Allowed to”? Sure. He can do what he wants. Should he? I think many people here think he shouldn’t have. But to each their own.

He just clarified above.

Whatever dude. I’ve said my peace. Moving on.

as many have discussed, the changes aren't super drastic.

thats good hear.

trust me, if i felt what i was doing is wrong, especially given my relationship with one of the owners, i wouldn’t have responded to a simple question that was asked… and again, they kept 35% of my cash for the eventual hybrid… its all good. i am [emoji817] certain someone will be super happy taking my spot… its all good. looking forward to getting everyone’s feedback, good or bad, when you see car soon.

Im sure you are fine with the dealer and all and I have no problem with you sharing your opinion. However, the #1 rule of fight club is you dont talk about fight club. Probably not the best idea to #1 mention that you signed and NDA and then reveal to everyone what was in the NDA. If you sign the NDA, just respect the fact you have insider access and dont say anything about the car or the fact that you signed the NDA and what is in the NDA.

Just my humble 2 cents.
