This is a left hand drive LT
The issue is the window switch 1 doesn’t do anything.
Window switch 2 controls the drivers side window.
The passenger window control switch will roll down its window and seems to work properly.

So how does one get switch 1 to work properly again?

Second issue is that when opening and closing the drivers side door the drivers window automatically rolls down.

So yeah .... my window is down indefinitely right now.

So I’ve tried the window reset by holding both down for 5 sec and then up for 5 sec. and nothing works.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Seems to be the window switch module will need to programmed. Has the battery went really low lately or been disconnected?

Car has reverted to thinking it is right hand drive default setting. Same thing happened to my 570 after battery was disconnected.

Wish they would have made the setting a non volatile setting so it would stick regardless of a power loss.

Also to get window to roll up when closing car there should be a hidden touch sensitive button in the air vent to get window to roll up.

Have you checked the battery?

This issues is common across all McLaren models when you loose all battery power.

Interestingly it does not happen every time power is lost, so some people are lucky, and others are not.

The solution requires a proper McLaren diagnostic tool to RECALIBRATE both window switch packs, and this functionality is embedded in each door module.

DML - Door Module Left
DMR - Door Module Right

The user will look under SEQUENCES in the software, and then Recalibrate the window switches.

This happened to me as wellt recently. Can‘t believe this obvious bug in the car’s software is still there after all these years when everything else works properly. How annoying to have to go to the dealer and have them to recalibrate the modules. Not everybody is so lucky to have one around the corner.

If it‘s really the car forgetting it‘s a LHD is plain stupid as I would think over 90% of all cars Mclaren built are LHD..

It's not an uncommon problem. The Phaeton occasionally does the same thing after a power loss, particularly the sunroof, and occasionally the infotainment starts up speaking German.

If this were a job advert for an apprentice position, I'd be sending in my resume.
