And you are a kindergartener with crayons. Seriously, you own a 7 year old entry level mclaren. Arguably the worst car they have made. Maybe for once just stick to threads that pertain to your car instead of polluting every single thread with your nonsense.

for the life of me I can’t understand why you feel compelled to comment on cars that you don’t own, and doubt have even driven.

maybe sit a few threads out. The forum will be a better place.
More impressive is they are a member for about 970 days and have 9500 post. So essentially 10 post a day, every day of their life for the last 2.5 years. Now that is dedication.

Well I'm meeting with dealer Monday to spec and put money down on a 750s spider. Deciding factor for me was, I'm not tracking the car. From what I've read, the driving day to day is more harsh in a 765. While I love the bare bones exotic (owned a 2011 superleggera that TT making 2000hp), that will not be the point of this car. Hence a Spider over a couple. Also. I can't find a 765 exactly how I want it, so this way I can build what I want. Only terrible part will be the wait 😢

Thanks everyone for the responses

Congrats! Post up the spec when you are done.

I would highly encourage you to do some mso options to make it unique. Have fun with the design process. Nice thing about mclaren is that other than cost, there really are no limitations.

One plus to this plan is you can always keep looking for that perfect 765 …. someday

I feel invisiblewave contributes greatly to the forum. Why can't someone comment on a car they don't own? Our passion for McLarens unites us!

We don't have to be friends but can't we be friendly?

As small a group as McLaren owners are vs Porsche, Ferrari, etc... there's no need to be bashing on each other. I've also got a 570GT. What I really wanted was a 600LT spider, but after showing the wife she was decidedly against a car with a bare carbon floor... and to be honest, with zero time to track a car, that car didn't make the most sense for a fun car when I'd rather be able to carry on a conversation in a normal tone of voice while driving.

I've never been a fan of the front end of the 720S, I think the 570 looks much better. The 720S wasn't out of reach for me or I suspect a lot of 570 owners. With some downpipes and a tune I expect to hold my own vs a 720, so I'll get what I feel is the best of both worlds. I may even get a 600LT body kit eventually sans the exhaust, and I'll have my own unique car.

This board doesn't see much action compared to other car forums I used to frequent. I appreciate invisiblewave's posts, he's helped put me in touch with some other forum members when I had questions, as well as give advice when searching for a reputable mechanic in my area. The forum could use more posters like that, our owner knowledge base is far below what you'll find on a Porsche forum, and for those of us who occasionally DIY when time permits, the more knowledgeable posters we have on this site the better.
