Well I'm meeting with dealer Monday to spec and put money down on a 750s spider. Deciding factor for me was, I'm not tracking the car. From what I've read, the driving day to day is more harsh in a 765. While I love the bare bones exotic (owned a 2011 superleggera that TT making 2000hp), that will not be the point of this car. Hence a Spider over a couple. Also. I can't find a 765 exactly how I want it, so this way I can build what I want. Only terrible part will be the wait 😢

Thanks everyone for the responses
Congrats! Post up the spec when you are done.

I don’t get the sense that many mclaren enthusiasts, even “elitists”, look down on the 570. There’s a lot of respect for it being what it is, even by folks who own Ultimate series cars.

Now, folks who bought one Mac 5 years ago thinking their buying experience is representative of the aforementioned elitists is another matter entirely. And yeah same issue across all the marques.
You could be right, but I have seen many a comment on here to the effect of “oh, you have no right to talk because you could only afford the baby McLaren” and things of that nature. There is the chance they were insults thrown at the owner and not the car, but I don’t know. Personally I’d do highly illegal things for any of them, regardless of model.

No you don’t need experience or have spent a monetary amount to comment. There are no prerequisites to posting on a public forum.

But when you repeatedly continue to argue with those that do have experience, when you self do not in a particular subject- it gets annoying.

When you continue to pontificate political views on a car forum- it gets annoying.

When you just make drive by comments that add nothing to the discussion- it gets annoying.

Anyone can post on any thread. But at a certain point have some self reflection to see if you are adding anything to the conversation or just being annoying.

As you said YMMv and each poster can decide what their own limit is for nonsense on a car forum.
Some people feel very differently than you apparently… You would not believe the amount of times I have been told to leave this forum and stop commenting over the years since I am not an owner and never will be. I do my best to learn and add value when I post, but there are certain members who believe that I shouldn’t even be here.

I’m genuinely curious, Anthony you constantly complain about being broke and bankrupt? Is this just an outlet for you all day long because of an unfortunate career issue?
Not at all, I love my career honestly. This forum allows me to learn about the cars I love, which is why I am here.
I am not looking to hijack this thread, so if you really are interested, I can PM you the circumstances. If not, no harm done, all good.
