Yes, I did my homework... 570 has vacuum operated single scroll, 720 has electric operation twin scroll, and under more pressure also.

I am very interested to compare the different Turbo variations McLaren has used on the 12C, 650S, P1, 570S, and now the 720S

Could you post up some part numbers or pictures of each variation or evolution of the Turbo's used per model? And explain the difference of each?

Maybe even suggest which Turbo's are interchangeable or upgradable between each of the McLaren Models?

Thanks in advance!

I'll try to get you some further information :D

I’m not expert but right now the 720s is the only model with electric operation twin scroll, all other models are single on Vacuum... all have same sizes turbos, so beside the twin scroll they operate with different PSI ;)

Can someone clarify what is meant by electric operation twin scroll ? I assume this means a variable twin scroll turbocharger with electronically controlled valves in the exhaust manifolds. Because true electric turbochargers, where the compressor is powered by electricity rather than exhaust gas, requires dedicated high voltage systems i.e. AMG Project One and cannot be effective with the 12v found in gas powered cars.

we have a track rental at PBIR Feb 25th, let's see what the 720S does, I'll have mine there as well...

Our 720s is currently at Above and Beyond Performance in West Palm Beach getting a set of catless DP's fabricated! I'm thinking the car should be up and running by the 25th so we would love to make it out.

Would love to see this race happen! Is the car local?
For sure! I'm not in town at the moment, but would you be willing to meet up some time within the next week to run the DME 570s vs your Fabspeed tuned 12c?

Is the car going to be ready for this weekend? Just checked with the organizer for the event and no other 720s register other than Brooks.:confused::confused:
Signing up now!

Inconel goodies incoming from Chris @ Unobtainium. The DME 720s is the ONLY true S2 M840T at the moment :)

great news, I met up with these guys today and I have some great videos and data coming... :) theres a new 720S record... :)

I cant wait to see this! I'm going to guess that the DME 720S turned a 9.4x at 150 mph.
Conditions were far from ideal but the car ran well in comparison to what Brooks' stock one ran. I'll wait for his video to drop :)
