My 12V auxiliary cigarette lighter in the center console is not working. Both 12V and ground are missing. I popped out the USB ports out of the center console and discovered that the connector is not attached to the unit. I found the connector wire, but it is about 1" away from being able to reconnect, and there is no more slack in the cable.
I've tried to remove the center console to release the slack in the cable, but the rear of the center console is still stuck in place. I have removed all the screws I can find, including the 2 semi hidden screws behind the console lid, but it won't release from the rear (firewall) end of the console. Are there any other hidden fasteners or tricks to remove it?
