anticipating with enthusiasm the launch of the P18
Silverstonewhat track is this?
Something more wicked aesthetically. Maybe more like the Solus. If this would be the replacement for the 750s, what would the replacement for the P1 be like?
Have you ever seen someone getting into a Solus?? It needs a team! 😂Something more wicked aesthetically. Maybe more like the Solus.
I think this is a good evolution of the P1 and the F1, maybe we will see something like the Solus in another 12 years.Something more wicked aesthetically. Maybe more like the Solus.
If McLaren replaced the 750 without hybrid technology, it would be about 100kg lighter than the W1, as sure as they keep everything else the same.I imagine it will follow this design language, will probably retain the traditional McLaren dihedral doors though, and be putting out 9xx horsepower. Weight will be interesting to see as I'm curious as to whether they keep it in the same ball park as the W1. I can't imagine it will be much more.
Agreed that it would make a great 750S replacement. It will be interesting to see how McLaren try to differentiate the W1 from that car if it shares the same engine, transmission, and hybrid system. It looks really great. But the more I look at it, the more I keep thinking this should just be the replacement to the 750. I'm probably way off base.
I don’t think that’ll be a problem. It won’t have the same aero, and it’ll weigh more. The engine probably down rated closer to 800hp, and a different hybrid system. Wildly guessing total hp about 900hp while weighing 150# more.Agreed that it would make a great 750S replacement. It will be interesting to see how McLaren try to differentiate the W1 from that car if it shares the same engine, transmission, and hybrid system.
It probably wouldn't be a hybrid. The engine develops 900bhp, which is a good enough number to put an 's' on the end of, and you don't need 1000bhp in a mid-range supercar.Agreed that it would make a great 750S replacement. It will be interesting to see how McLaren try to differentiate the W1 from that car if it shares the same engine, transmission, and hybrid system.
And it won't cost $3m.I don’t think that’ll be a problem. It won’t have the same aero, and it’ll weigh more. The engine probably down rated closer to 800hp, and a different hybrid system. Wildly guessing total hp about 900hp while weighing 150# more.
Here is an interesting question. For the same 3m, would you take the T50 or the W1.And it won't cost $3m.
That IS an interesting question. For me it's a no-brainer, I'd take the W1 all day long. There are things I like about the T50, but I think it's boring to look at, and it has that stupid, obsolete third pedal! Here is an interesting question. For the same 3m, would you take the T50 or the W1.
And it won't cost $3m.
W1, I love the T50, but I would still take the McLaren. Here is an interesting question. For the same 3m, would you take the T50 or the W1.
Yea, I'm with you. No brainer, not even 1 sec of thought or hesitation.T50. You guys are high as a kite!
If only Gordan Murray was young enough to start or buy into an F1 team....T50. You guys are high as a kite!
