Something more wicked aesthetically. Maybe more like the Solus.
Have you ever seen someone getting into a Solus?? It needs a team! 😂
I agree though, I prefer the Solus/Valkyrie aesthetic, but my guess is they consulted with the entitled types likely to buy it who asked for more practicality.

I imagine it will follow this design language, will probably retain the traditional McLaren dihedral doors though, and be putting out 9xx horsepower. Weight will be interesting to see as I'm curious as to whether they keep it in the same ball park as the W1. I can't imagine it will be much more.
If McLaren replaced the 750 without hybrid technology, it would be about 100kg lighter than the W1, as sure as they keep everything else the same.

Five with Lando
Lando Norris has firmly established himself as a top Formula 1 driver, but he also has a passion for beautiful automotive design and engineering. We take five minutes to talk to Lando about his favourite bits of our Real Supercar, the W1.

It looks really great. But the more I look at it, the more I keep thinking this should just be the replacement to the 750. I'm probably way off base.
Agreed that it would make a great 750S replacement. It will be interesting to see how McLaren try to differentiate the W1 from that car if it shares the same engine, transmission, and hybrid system.

I don’t think that’ll be a problem. It won’t have the same aero, and it’ll weigh more. The engine probably down rated closer to 800hp, and a different hybrid system. Wildly guessing total hp about 900hp while weighing 150# more.

It probably wouldn't be a hybrid. The engine develops 900bhp, which is a good enough number to put an 's' on the end of, and you don't need 1000bhp in a mid-range supercar.

T50. You guys are high as a kite!
Yea, I'm with you. No brainer, not even 1 sec of thought or hesitation.

That said. This is a 31 flavors thing. I can see a good number of people picking either. That's why I thought it would be an interesting question.

One thing I noticed, they finally added metal switch gear to the binnacle mode selectors on the W1.

If only Gordan Murray was young enough to start or buy into an F1 team....
Heck, Gordan should get his T50 in the 24hrs or LeMans...!

P35 will be a v8 hybrid and extremely capable. Imagine 950-1000hp in a 3300-3400lb car instead of these 4000-4400lb pigs that everyone else is coming out with. It’ll be impressive…McLaren makes the most engaging cars on the road and currently it’s hard to beat the all round performance and daily drivability of a 750s!! The 750 tempts me to get rid of the 765LT…99% the same performance but without the rattles…LT is LT though.

W1 is very color dependent. I think this color works well…
