I don’t think there is another overpriced, overrated brand than Porsche. And it’s all because of Porsche fan boys. Porsche can sell its fanboys a brick of shit with Porsche logo on it with ADM. Sadly the fanboys will line up to bid over the ADM just so they can hang the shit brick in their living room. 1/50 Porsche shit brick. Made of Genuine turd from Andreas Preuninger.

In all seriousness there is nothing about a Porsche that justifies its price tag. People say it’s the best daily driver. The new Aston vantage is a LOT better daily. More exotic. More exciting and way more beautiful. I really hope the fanboys will get off the bandwagon and will be open to trying a real exotic.

You should never say never but I can confidently say I will never ever have a Porsche in my garage.

Porsche had its day back when you could buy a gt3 for 175k. Lot of car for the money. 3 or 400k for a gt3rs is beyond stupid. So many other better cars at that level. I have always had a Porsche in the garage until last year I had enough. Now when I see an rs I just shake my head and wonder how the owner can be so blind.

Find it interesting with all this in mind that Porsche corporate numbers are way off..hmmm.

I don’t own a McLaren yet but I would not consider a RS with ADM of 50-150 K,when I can purchase a 750 for much less and it is a superior performance car.
I was a Porsche fan boy. It's easy to go down that rabbit hole with a brand such as Porsche. I thought I always wanted a GT vehicle because that's where the hype is, right?! I also wanted to like the TTS but it just did not max out my fun meter. The latest ridiculous ADM push diverted my attention to McLaren. After one test drive, I was hooked and ended up taking delivery of a new 750S! I've never driven such a crazy car in my life; it was a pure adrenaline rush! Now, I've never driven a GT3/RS so I can't tell you what I'm missing (if any) but I'm 100% sure that it doesn't hold a candle to the 750S and the performance figures will back that statement. Another thing I really like about the 750S is how comfortable the ride is in comfort mode. I even enjoy just cruising around in comfort with the Bowers & Wilkins playing my favorite tunes! I love the dual personality of this beast! If there's one thing I don't like about this car, it's the attention I get. I really don't enjoy standing out in a crowd and Papaya Spark doesn't help but I love the color!😀

You aren’t missing much in a GT car. They are painfully slow. The engine does rev to 9k but it sounds mediocre. It almost sounds like it’s struggling to rev up that high. Almost like a straining quality. I have come from a 458 so my experience may be biased when I drove the RS. There is no drama until you are over 5000 rpm. So unless you are tracking you would look like a douche driving on the street at 6000 rpm. The styling is very boring. It doesn’t look like a super car. It doesn’t feel special inside or outside. It’s a nice car for 150 k but anything over that you unlock another category of real super cars.

Has anyone who has driven the 750 ALSO driven the 296?

to reiterate: driven BOTH the 750 AND 296

Pretty comparable priced cars, similar performance numbers. Independent reviews of each car are glowing (both cars picked up performance car f the year awards this year). Let’s hear it from anyone who qualifies with the above.

As much as I like the 911, none of the variants are the “I gotta have it” car(s). If that was the case, I would have just sucked up the ADM. I agree…the 992.2 GT3 is worth under 200 to me as well. When I had a 991.2GTS, I remember thinking how boring it looked. It was highly modded/tuned but it just didn’t hit that spot for me; same goes for the Turbo S. Anyways, I ditched her in less than 2 years!😆 Several GT3/RS owners have said what you said about the GT cars, with the exception of GT2RS but that’s a different beast! I have a ‘20 R8 Performance to feed my NA motor fix. I much prefer the V10 sound and performance anyway over the 4.0 NA. I love dual personality super cars! I might still get a TTS later in life. I think it is a good comfortable DD with supercar straight line and decent cornering performance, especially for older speed junkies.🤙

I did a weekend of the Ferrari Corsa Piloti with 296 on the track…..hammering it all weekend……..and recently just picked up a 750s spider. I can say from my experience…….the 750 feels significantly lighter and more exciting and engaging to drive.

What makes it more exciting or engaging to drive?
Have you tracked the 750s yet?

thanks

The acceleration is more intense than the 296….which is very smooth…..but like a computer game……meaning…more technology driven than you actually driving the car……..but the 750 …..you really feel the experience of driving the car. Haven’t tracked the 750 yet…but did on the 765 LT…..so I have some reference of what the car will feel like. The 750 feels similar to I the 765 LT ride but without all the vibrations…and whoever owns one…knows what I am speaking about.

I did a similar weekend driving experience that Ferrari hosted with a 296 GTB. I don't have any seat time in a 750s but, even when compared to my inferior 720s, I got out of the 296 respecting it but not wanting it. I certainly wouldn't take it over a 720s, much less a 750s. 296 is certainly fast but feels really anodyne. The acceleration is my 720s feels much more visceral. I recently drove with a friend that has a 296 and, at least on that day, he couldn't pull away from me in my 720s (M Engineering stage 2 full exhaust). I know this is contrary to pretty much ever comparison test out there and have no doubt that the 296 is faster in most scenarios but in that one is wasn't. But regardless, my 720s was way more fun and an "event" to drive than the 296 in my experience. The 750s should be even more so.

This sounds very similar to my feelings about the 720/750 compared with the 600LT.

You can't compare stock vs tuned like that....,
Your car is probably closer to 780 whp now with the tune

Yeah the 296 is fast as all hell so your stage 2 is pulling some serious numbers, or the other driver was not ready/296 was not in the right mode, etc.

The 296 is the only rwd mid engine car to ever do a sub 10 second quarter mile from road and track for example. It did 9.7 if anyone is curious.

296 owners generally say the steering is fantastic, turn in is great, torque fill is nice, lots of positives driving the car. Infotainment yeah that’s shit.

I’ve driven and tracked both the 750s and 296 AF.

The McLaren is more exciting to drive. The steering feel in both cars is very good, but it’s outstanding in the 750. Power delivery is very linear and smooth in the 296 so it’s deceptively quick, but no quicker than the 750. If there’s anything between them it’s marginal. But the 750 shorter gearing and ‘beast like’ tendencies above 6k rpm make it more raw and exciting to drive. Turn in is better in the 750…you can also feel the weight more on track but not as much on the road…Both are great cars, but I prefer the overall balance and feel of the 750. If you’re looking for a spider…then the 750 is the clear choice.

The haptic feedback buttons on the Ferrari flat out SUCK. Period. End of discussion.

Overall…both excellent cars…no bad choice here…but the 750 is more exciting to drive and has better overall feel.

In terms of a tuned 720 being as quick as a 296…YES. There’s not much between a 720 and 750 in terms of straight line performance.
