Amazing story and so glad you're enjoying the 750 @06viper !! @Nu2Mac congrats that's a beautiful car, and Mac Newport is a great dealer to be a part of. Stay involved with their staff - the events are great!

Now I'll just spin in my office chair chanting "I don't need to upgrade... I don't need to upgrade... I don't need to upgrade..." for an hour or so 🤣

Thanks! This being my first McLaren, I can’t say if the 750S is worth the $$ to upgrade. From my limited interactions with 720S owners, they all seem to be content with it. If I had a 720S, I personally wouldn’t pony up extra $$ to upgrade to a 750S. I’m not a big fan of where the future of cars is headed (hybridization) but I’m slowly warming up to it….key word being, “slowly”.😀 As the saying goes, “change or die”, right!? Perhaps the next 7xxS will be a hybrid and I’d imagine that it‘s going be a monster! Someone has to slay the 296 GTB. I just hope it’s not a plug-in like the Artura. Exciting times ahead!

Good read! I’m new to this forum and new to McLaren. Last week, I made an impulse purchase and brought home a brand new 750S! I’ve always admired McLarens but the reliability issues kept me away. I’m not loyal to any one brand but if I had to categorize myself, I’ve been a VAG guy (911, R8, Porsche SUVs) and owned a couple of bimmers.
I’ve been looking for a new toy along the of lines of something between the GT3RS and TTS. After lurking around, I decided to take a chance on McLaren. Lo and behold, I was completely hooked after one test drive! I’ve never driven anything like the 750S. I like dual personality cars and the 750S is the perfect supercar IMHO. It is the ultimate Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde super car with Mr. Hyde being the dominant character. :) Fortunately there was a very nicely optioned 750S in my favorite color (Papaya Spark) on the lot and the rest is history.
I look forward to learning a lot from y’all and growing into a contributing member!

Congrats! Is it a '24 or '25? My '25 has arrived at New Port but it's being held hostage pending a software update from McLaren on an issue related to the speaker volume changing itself randomly.

Mine is a 24. And the speaker issue is faulty software! Affects all 750's. Had mine updated before Willow Springs and now good to go (y)

I purchased one of the new ‘24 models on the lot. I haven’t had a chance to explore the car as it’s getting full body PPF at the moment. Will report back if my speaker(s) act up. :)

Mine is a 2024 with no speaker issue. After 3500 miles no problems at all! Amazing car!
No speaker issue on my 2024 either, although I do find a significant difference in the quality of the sound between tunes from Apple CarPlay vs tunes in storage with songs in storage sounding a lot better than Pandora through CarPlay (with Sirius XM somewhere in the middle for quality). Note that I have Pandora Premium for higher quality sound and no commercials too.
