The "final" performance figures of the 918 have just been released.

918 Spyder beats own benchmark values
Shortly before delivery of the first vehicles, the Porsche 918 Spyder is beating its own benchmark values. Marking the success of the final tuning measures, the Porsche super sportscar is now even more capable of putting in a strong sprinting performance. With the weight-optimised Weissach package fitted, the vehicle now accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds (-0.2 seconds), from zero to 200 km/h in 7.2 seconds (-0.5 seconds), and passes the 300 km/h mark after 19.9 seconds (-2.1 seconds). Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Senior Vice President 918 Spyder, highlights the significance of these results: “We have now used all options available to electrify the 918 Spyder, working right up to the last minute to do so.”
The enhancements also bring benefits in terms of the electrical performance delivered by the hybrid super sportscar. The two electric motors on the front and rear axle allow the 918 Spyder to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, without producing any emissions. Such a performance marks a reduction of seven tenths of a second on the previous time. With the Weissach package fitted, this electric sprinting time is reduced to 6.1 seconds.

What's the. Ring time Isv?The 918 has put in some remarkable numbers in the Sportauto supertest I'm given to understand. Am pretty impressed it weighed in at 1642kg as Porsche have the slightly unfortunate tendency to be a bit optimistic on their weights I've found. That would make the 918 (admittedly without aircon and stereo) which has been given a lot of grief about being heavy only about 125-150kg heavier than a P1 (dry weight 1400kg so the full fluids weight cannot be less than say 1525kg)
Bit of a discrepancy on the ring time but the hockenhim time is pretty damn impressive I reckon....
SA got a 7:13. 1.06.3 in hockenheim. Although that probably makes sense as SA have usually been about 10s ish slower than factory times..?What's the. Ring time Isv?

I would expect thatLatest word from a GCF member is that it broke the current TG production car lap record (Huayra) by a "wide margin."
Yep. Do you think McLaren will use the Trofeo R's for the power lap? They didn't show up on that day anyway, not sure what they're waiting for...I would expect that
That is funny !! I don't think they will do a lap until they are asked to do one for the next series of programmes,i don't think the topgear team are permanently based at Dunsfold for filmingYep. Funny thing, Frank Walliser was wearing a "Jennifer Clarkson" T-shirt and "liked" a Jennifer Clarkson fan page on Facebook the day they were at Dunsfold. lol
I used to think mclaren were waiting for trofeos to be fully certified and available before letting any lap time comparisons/numbers out just to ensure they had the fastest tyre possible and were not accused of running a non customer spec car. Given trofeos are now out per another post, one has to wonder why there was no car at dunsfold to do the lap while the 918 was there.Yep. Porsche quote 887 for 918 as they quotes 612 hp( 604 BHP) for the Cgt . All Cgt's I have seen dyno'd make around 630/635 .Still slightly bemused that all the tests are being done at 887 BHP... would have thought that the much rumoured power upgrade would be around now...
Assume that this therefore being held back for mid life update perhaps?
Looks very nice though... although a little nervous at high cornering speeds...
I don't like this Pagani like trend. It smacks of being a bunch of p*ssies and not of "safety concerns." Heck, no one even knows if the Hyuara can do, no testing seems to ever have occurred.Trofeo r much stickier than cup 2 .
I'm not here much , don't eat me alive but a friend involved tells me that mac are not interested in direct comparison test v 918 " or anything else" at TG "track" as ( again , same quote from last year ) " it is not a true representation of what our car will do " .
A "frustrated" top gear had to test the 918 alone . I don't know if that's the same day or ever , however"currently there are no plans for the p1 to appear on top gear again or on the top gear track ".( final quote is from a friend in the the BBC not mclaren).
I don't have the time but re the 918 but Jeremy says "You know when Bruce Willis slingshots round the moon in Armageddon. That's what it's like when you go round a corner in a 918." So I presume the 918 did pretty well .
I find this strange as the mac is clearly at an advantage at dunsfold , I expect it to shatter the record round there . They must have good settings etc for dunsfold .

Nothing has been held back , they are just doing the German thing .
On what track(s) did he test them? Did he use different wheels and/or spacers ?no problems with rear diffusor and wheel liners?(..) close friend has been testing them EXTENSIVELY on his 12c. I'm going to get some for the 4.0 rs .they get sticky like tar , you can poke finger into them , it's mental
