Very quick car.
I know. I've also seen what the 765LT does. It'll be interesting to see what the 750S does. But she weighs over 1600KG converted from the test. Interesting. But it took them sticking a battery on to finally best the 720!😂

I think 3200lbs is a heavy pig, so youre not going to convince me otherwise. To me, somewhere around 2800lbs cars start to be more 'chuckable', but even better below 2500lbs. These days, outside a T.50 or Miata, you'll have a hard time finding that, though.3500 isn’t really that heavy whatsoever. Seems like sour grapes. But I do think this 296 seems too quick. I remember the SF90 the American mags tested, that broke in the indy speedway lap record came for sale. If they put this particular 296 for sale I’d be tempted to buy it. It’s a monster.
I'll give you something I don't know sometimes whether to laugh out loud or, well whatever, you're definitely unique!🤣720s .... hold my beer!
... 296 brakes are crap from 140 mph to zero!
What do you own currently that comes close to that level of lightness? It’s just not possible in a more powerful car from the last 20 years.I think 3200lbs is a heavy pig, so youre not going to convince me otherwise. Just a Miata and a 12C. I love both. But the 12C is a heavy pig at around 3200lbs.What do you own currently that comes close to that level of lightness? It’s just not possible in a more powerful car from the last 20 years.
AMG GT3 - 2833 lbsJust a Miata and a 12C. I love both. But the 12C is a heavy pig at around 3200lbs.
As for current offerings, well, the T.50 and T.33 did it, and more recently the dutch Dankervoort F22. I think the Elva got close as it's supposed to be at around 3000lbs (so I think it's within striking distance for McLaren considering they have new ethernet wiring harness and other lightness innovations).
I fully concede it's much more difficult with modern regulations to get a car that light. I'll also concede that McLaren is the only one of the big 'supercar' brands that is even trying to get there (other than Gordon Murray).
Ya I hear you I just think you’re picking one metric and it’s basically impossible to compare these cars. A Miata with 600 hp would probably weigh 3200+ pounds.Just a Miata and a 12C. I love both. But the 12C is a heavy pig at around 3200lbs.
