No launch button. Launch control is activated through the menu on the left.
I don't know why the manual says that. Launch control is always on. I used it a dozen times on the demo and did not need to pull the left stalk. It's always ready to go, left foot on the brake, right foot on the throttle, then hold on for dear life.

My guess is what the manual is referring to is how to get to the instructions for operating launch control. The left stalk can cancel it, perhaps in case you have an intended purpose of having both feet on the pedals, other than launch control.

BTW, I can assure you that the 0 to 60 for the Artura is grossly underrated with launch control. It felt every bit as fast, if not faster, than my 600LT launch, and I have dragy'd that at 2.82 seconds without rollout. I think it will do 3.0 seconds just stabbing the throttle from a dig.

I was going to say the same thing, it's a much simpler process on the Artura. I think you're right about the speed, too, it's going to be very close to the 720, imo.

Good to hear. I also did not see any mention of Android Auto. McLaren confirmed this would be included, correct? I'm surprised it is not mentioned in the manual, while Apply CarPlay is.
The word on Android Auto is that it's coming later..... At this point, I'd say all bets are off and we may or may not see it at some future date. If I had to hazard a guess, it's probably because of the difficulties involved in integrating the Google framework and keeping it updated, especially if they're running an older Android release.

Interesting that McLaren have included a link to Apple Car Key (bottom of post) in the Artura owners manual. This would be good as we can then carry our key in our iPhone Wallet 😀However I don’t see McLaren on the Apple Car Manufacturers list yet with a key symbol …. ??

Apple CarPlay
If you have a compatible Apple iPhone®, you can use Apple CarPlay® through the McLaren Infotainment System (MIS). Connect a compatible Apple device to the USB-C socket located in the centre console stowage compartment, see Connecting an external device, page 4.22.

When a compatible device is connected, press the button on the end of the left-hand stalk to activate the device's voice assistant, see Voice Recognition, page 4.41.

For instructions on how to use Apple CarPlay® see:
Use CarPlay with your iPhone
For more information on Apple CarPlay®, see: iOS - CarPlay

Any updates on when Android Auto will come?
