Someone on Instagram posted his spec and I noticed the painted Tonneau Cover. Sounds like this is more expensive through MSO than Visual CF.

And what Im trying to tell you (unsuccessfully) is that my dealer quoted to me that I could create any color I wanted for like 12k. And the official price list that I have states Bespoke color is $12,750. If Bespoke doesnt mean Bespoke then Ive been given wrong information but I dont believe I have been. So to summarize- what I have been told by my dealer and what the price list confirmed was you can create your own custom color for $12,750. More expensive is the exposed carbon (150-200k) Strata or Velocity colors (50-100k) or satin 26,720.

Creating your own custom color with Mclaren is not like Porsche where they have to do all sorts of ridiculous testing and there is an approved PTS list. Got 12k and change? Great- go design your custom color.

There is no way a custom MSO Color is just $12,750. Try to get it in writing from your dealer and order it today. Your salesguy is definitely wrong.

My ‘MSO bespoke exterior paint - volcano orange’ was $21,070 CAD.

My guess is that a one-off colour is probably closer to $40-50k.

Correct. I went with gloss black via MSO so it matched the roof and pillars. The rest of my exterior accents pieces are exposed carbon and I didn’t want a third finish in the mix. It cost me around as much to have the tonneau painted in gloss black as it would to have it in exposed CF. Craziness.

Black paint same price as CF and you chose black paint?

Personally, I prefer a black roof. The contrast creates the illusion of the stance looking lower. In order to individualize their cars, some will pay a premium inspite of the result looking less appealing.

Trying to find a matte paint that offers more depth or flake than a wrap - if anyone knows of one please share.
