McLaren Automotive celebrates the 30th anniversary of its winning debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans – completing a unique Triple Crown* achievement - and McLaren’s return to the top class of the event from 2027. With just 50 cars being built, the 750S Le Mans is set to be one of the most sought-after McLaren series production supercars.
On June 18, 1995 McLaren F1 GTR #59 - driven by JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya - won the gruelling 24-hour race, joined by three more McLaren F1 GTRs in the top five placings. Just days before the 30th anniversary, two McLaren GT3 EVO cars – based on the 750S - will compete for LMGT3 honours at this year’s edition of the endurance classic.
The McLaren 750S Le Mans pays homage to the iconic #59 F1 GTR with matching Le Mans Grey exterior paint – with the option of McLaren Orange also available - roof scoop and 5-spoke LM wheels. It will also feature the new MSO High Downforce Kit (HDK), which adds visual drama to the 750S with a raised carbon fibre Active Rear Spoiler with integral endplates. In conjunction with a front bumper featuring an enlarged carbon fibre splitter and rear wing, downforce is increased by 10 per cent compared to the standard 750S, enhancing track performance and echoing the famous McLaren F1 LM edition’s aerodynamic additions. Completing the HDK package is a new body-coloured carbon fibre under-wing panel featuring gloss black louvres.
McLaren 750S Le Mans customers will also have a choice of Carbon Black with Dove Grey or Carbon Black with McLaren Orange interior colour combinations with Le Mans branding and a dedication plaque, with all cars featuring a portfolio of unique features as standard:
Exterior
  • Choice of two exterior paint themes: Le Mans Grey or McLaren Orange
  • High Downforce Kit (HDK) front bumper with enlarged Carbon Fibre Splitter in Gloss Black, Raised Carbon Fibre Active Rear Spoiler in Gloss Black and Louvred Body Colour Carbon Fibre Under-Wing Panel with Gloss Black Louvres
  • 5-spoke Le Mans wheel with Stealth finish and Le Mans branding
  • F1 Gold Special Colour Brake Calipers with red McLaren logo
  • Wheel Centre Caps with blue/red colour detail
  • Gloss Black Carbon Fibre Roof Scoop
  • Carbon Fibre Front Fenders with Gloss Black Louvres

In addition, a range of options are available exclusively to 750S Le Mans customers, including:

  • Gloss Visual Carbon Fibre HDK and Underbody pack, including the Front Splitter, Rear Diffuser and Raised Active Rear Spoiler

  • Gloss Visual Carbon Fibre Louvre pack including the Front Fender Louvres and Rear Under-Wing Panel Louvres
  • Gloss Visual Carbon Fibre Roof Scoop Outer
  • Track Brake Upgrade incorporating F1 Gold Special Colour Brake Calipers with red McLaren logo
An optional track record plaque lists the 1995 Le Mans victory, with Triple Crown* achievements also featured alongside McLaren’s many significant motorsport successes. Mounted in the front luggage compartment, this option is available to purchasers of all new 750S cars.
Purchasers of the Le Mans edition cars will also benefit from the multi-award winning** benchmark-beating 750S performance delivered by the mid-mounted, 750PS M840T 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 McLaren engine. A motorsport-inspired carbon fibre Monocage II central structure and Proactive Chassis Control III suspension system help to ensure that the 750S is the lightest and most agile car in its class, now enhanced by the HDK aerodynamic additions.
“The 750S Le Mans marks not just 30 years since our debut victory in the iconic race but an exciting time for the brand with McLaren GT3 EVO cars competing in this year’s race and the announcement of our return to the top, Hypercar class in 2027.
This exclusive 750S is the first McLaren Le Mans edition since the F1 LM to feature HDK aerodynamic enhancements and is set to become one of our most sought-after supercars, with previous Le Mans editions of the 650S and 720S commanding a premium over standard models.”

It would be more attractive (to me), if "special" variants of what effectively is the base vehicle, had increased power and chassis/suspension upgrades.

I've contacted MSO and the response was "Thank you, we'll bear that into consideration for the future".

I remember being there, when the first F1 LM was being assembled, it was the road-going version of the GTR, itself a huge development over the road car, with many new & upgraded engineering parts, not just jewellery. It feels to me, despite how pretty the 750S LM looks, as though McLaren have sold their soul to the marketing department accountants. "Special" variants should be more than "look special".

A HDK for the 750S will undoubtedly be released in the near future, enabling owners to mimik the looks of the LM. If the LM had improved engineering, the differences between the 2 could easily be maintained & the price differential easily justified.

Contrary to what some people have been saying about no LT version of the 750, LT 2.0s talks HAVE been discussed, even the idea of an R version has been thrown around. It is pretty easy to predict Mclarens most likely next move. Same thing they did with the 650, 720, and now the 750. Especially with the big delay of the 7 series replacement.

Porsche does it with the whole 911 platform, GT3.1 to GT3.2, etc
Lambo does it with the Huracan Perf and then a few years later the STO. Aventador SV and a few years later SVJ

650--> 650 LM--> 675LT
720--> 720 LM--> 765LT
750--> 750 LM--> 7xxLT

TED talk over haha.

The Huracan Performante had more horsepower than the standard (then) model, so not quite true. It also had improved engineering and aero. Porsche's incremental updates all have slightly more power, than the previous offerings.
The 650 LM, 720S LM and 750S LM have the standard engine & HP.
The baseline for each model was already class-leading, but they could have made each technically better than the base models. It's effectively a marketing gimmick, using visual improvements. I doubt any of them will be faster around a lap than the models they're based on, but people with little technical prowess will undoubtedly be whipped up into a frenzy, nevertheless.

And only 20 coming to the US. The $545 is base. So you still have to spec them with lift etc…Defitnely over $600k for a mildly optioned car. I was told 100% they will NOT offer the HDK as a stand alone option for 750’s. Not from a dealer…much higher up than that. Also…the LM will be a ‘27 model…so likely out next summer or later.

There will be no 750 version LT. IMHO, at the moment…McLaren is a cluster f-$k. Super frustrated with the new transition. They’re playing ping pong with ideas and it’s ridiculous. But they have made it very clear, no LT.

It wasn't ever conceived or designed to be better. It's ostensibly an LM car for the track but in reality it's pitched (even by McLaren) as a collectors car that'll (and this is verbatim from the press release) "become one of our most sought-after supercars, with previous Le Mans editions of the 650S and 720S commanding a premium over standard models"

Like the old adage about telling people you're a good person.

Agreed. The standard front bumper on the 750S screams "we're saving costs in having a one-piece design", to me. I fully appreciate that aerodynamically and weight-savings wise, there are reasons for it to be the way it is, but it looks less aesthetically pleasing (to me) than the front of the 720S. They could easily have fixed it by using a more pronounced and less integrated front splitter. Details matter at this price-point.

This thing is epic, one of the more beautiful cars to come out of anywhere in recent years. As others mentioned, I never meshed well with the 750s front bumper. Just came off as cheap being painted entirely, but its growing on me.

Give me the front bumper, rear wing, wheels, make it a spider and its the perfect 750s!!!

I'm really hoping the make an LT model of the 750s but it sounds like thats not in the cards.

I have received feedback from my dealer that unfortunately I have not been allocated a 750S LeMans.
The demand was so huge that priority was given to customers with larger collections, at least as far as allocations here in Europe are concerned.
I am delighted for everyone who receives one of the 50 models; they are simply special cars. Cars that pay tribute to McLaren's unique success with the F1 GTR at Le Mans in 1995 with a high degree of attention to detail.

If they added an honorary amount of power, but instead offered serious weight reduction (as a no cost option package), that might be interesting. Maybe a gentle Tier 1 package and a go-nuts Tier 2 package. These are after all advertised as track cars. Everyone focuses on power, but weight is the win-win on the track. (Faster and handles better) Might even reduce cost if a lot of road features are omitted or replaced by useful track features (performance monitoring, built in jacks).

This would certainly set McLaren apart from the other brands that are deep into the hp/hybrid wars that are of so little interest (it seems).
