Why did they name it after a Ford truck?

I was thinking the same thing. Not even an obscure vehicle, one of the most mass-produced vehicles ever!!! F250 for a supercar is really stupid name IMO.

The car is 3075lbs DRY. Fully expect it to be 3325-3375lbs wet, real world weight.

3350lbs. 1275ps. 1000kg of DF and less drag. Wider tires. Better tech to put the power to the ground. Hybrid torque fill. Better Tires. Looks very much like a McLaren.

It’ll be a beast of a car and assuming they don’t F it up, it should be a strong contender for many track records and maybe even a Ring record. Still 18-24 months away though.

Purely guessing…I’d say 8.5-8.7s 1/4mile at 165mph and better than a Senna around a track.

Lastly…I don’t think McLaren gets enough credit for how well they’ve done to keep the weight down on all of their cars. It gets harder every year…and yet their weight has largely stayed the same while competitors are 200-700lbs heavier…

You’ve asked this question of a lot of people after they make a certain post…If you had an invite to the launch event and attended, it means you paid a 6-figure deposit and have an allocation. After seeing the car then it’s up to the person to decide. The launch event was impressive.

Yeah, I ask because something like this is amazing to me, and it’s cool to see people getting them. What is the issue with me asking?
