I just had this done at the dealership (SF)...to reiterate what people said--great not to slam, i don't have to double swipe the passenger side anymore and most importantly they fall under the extended warranty. As long as you have an extended warranty (or still under warranty) they're covered. I had to ask a few times just to make sure since in this thread it seemed like it was just parts only for the warranty. Apparently that's a recent change. parts also look to be around $370/door.

I have a question regarding those who have had the soft-close doors installed by the dealership. I had it done and had issues with the driver's window rolling back down after using the soft-close feature. Basically, when the door sucks in the window attempts to close, but the sensor believes something is in the way and the window rolls back down. This issue requires me to slam the door or keep attempting the soft-close until it finally goes up. Anyone have any issue like this? I actually had the driver's side soft-close replaced under warranty and the same issue occurred again. Would love some insight from people here to see if it's just a weird issue for me or common.

Never experienced this, and haven't heard of anyone else experiencing it either.

My retrofit soft-close drivers-side door will do that about once every 10 or so times closing.
You say "roll-down" ?
Yes, but only a couple inches ( like there is something in the way)
You don't need to open and re-close the door, just simply use the window switch to close it.
It's a bit of a bother, but I notice it happens more often when the car is on un-even ground……
Hope this helps.

This is exactly what I am talking about. However, mine seems to do it more than that. Sometimes, when I re-attempt to close the door, it will do it again. Typically, on the third re-attempt it will roll all the way back up and successfully close.

Hey Bro, I just bought a 2013 12C. Can you re-post the soft close doors retro-fit video. Thanks a bunch !
Sorry, don't have access to it anymore. But it wasn't an installation video or instructions, just a demonstration of the soft-close doors working.

I did change mine myself and your problem seems like door latch doesn't suck the door in enough. Especially if you claim window rolls up properly when you slam it then most probably problem is how deep your door sits when it is closed. You can easily adjust it by playing with door striker placement. I think it will definitely solve your problem as door will be closer to the cabin when it is closed if you adjust it properly.
