I have compiled a 291 page service manual for the MP4-12C.
I believe compiling this information and making it available is a service to the entire McLaren community – from dealers to current and prospective owners. Now that used examples are dropping in price, we are entering a new territory of DIYers, people who simply love working on their own cars, and even people that wouldn't purchase one if they couldn't service it themselves! Coming from the Porsche GT3 world, I almost didn't buy my MP4-12C for this very reason. As such, having service and repair information available makes a used 12C a much more attractive proposition, whether you’re a current owner looking to sell, or a potential buyer looking to take the McLaren plunge for the first time.
Inside, you will find detailed step by step illustrated instructions on the service procedures, service intervals, for every service up to 15 years/150,000 miles. All relevant fastener sizes and torque specifications are also included. The information is assumed to be accurate and I am not responsible for any errors, omissions, or typographical errors.
I have printed the service manual in color for myself, along with a few extras, on high quality, 32 pound, 8.5”x11” glossy paper and spiral bound. It has cost me a great deal of time and money to produce this, as such I need to recover my investment.
