New about 5 yrs ago. He also owns mclaren of Denver also. I have purchased from them and they do my work on my 765lt
Incorrect. Mike Ward sold about 3 months ago. The new owners are very new especiallly to the exotic car world having never owned a new legacy exotic dealership before, only used dealerships. So we’ll see how they do. Mike likely wont own Denver for much longer either 😉

A few people have mentioned how this car is priced. I tried to buy a car from them about 3 years ago (covid time) I asked for a discount, their response was arrogant. Never called them back. Maybe it's just how they roll.

Wow I didn't know that. I haven't been there in about 5 months. Thanks for the info. Is Mike getting out totally?

It is overpriced but it's optioned insanely well. It's very hard to find carbon 1-3. It's just missing the seats. I personally hate the scoop so whatever. But yes still overpriced, but it's better optioned than basically everything thing else out there. I'd can see this selling in the 240s for a specific buyers.
Nice car indeed. Extremely well specced as mentioned. I have P1's in my 600LT and 765 LT - they are absolutely more than ok - unless you want to track the car immensely. Love the color and matching calibers w orange stitchings. More nimble and go cart feeling than a 720S.

I just bought a 2020 Spider from them that was also on consignment in May before the dealer was bought out. For the most part all went well, so cant speak to the new team. It was $20k under their asking price, but that being said, I do believe their asking price was pretty high.

All that matters is the seller. Dealer has their fixed cost for the transaction and if the seller thinks its worth $X amount and doesn't want to budge, more power to him. But for that price, like them or not, that should get you dang close to a roof scoop car. There was a very low option roof scoop car at Gram Rahal asking $250k last month.

I don't know if this is still true given the new owners. But when I purchased mine, their process for consignment cars is that they will inspect it and anything that is wrong with the car must be fixed before it can be listed. That being said, they don't seem to CPO their cars, but because it was inspected I saved on the inspection fee which is around $1,000 and got the warranty through them. Plus some piece of mind that a McLaren dealer looked at the car and gave it the okay.

It might sound silly, but i would only buy one through an authorized Mclaren dealer. I came very close to buying one from a Ferrari dealer with 200 miles on it, but learned i had to wait 60 days after i purchased it for Mclaren to inspect it and then put a warranty on it. Any problems were on me. So if you are like me, going through a dealer means something!

Super awesome spec with killer options list so its worth good money! But I would miss the Senna seats!!

It’s a complete new owner group as of a couple months ago for this reason i think. The new group is much more in the business of moving metal not having crazy prices hoping someone pays it.

LOL.

You think the owner sold it because of one persons perceived arrogance/experience yet they were dealer of the year in 2022 and finished 2nd or 3rd in 2023 😂😂 Also 1st or 2nd in MSO as well.

The previous owner generally wanted out…for various reasons I won’t get into…and this was his most valuable dealership…and really didn’t want to sell this one but it was the easiest to sell and the one he got the most interest in…he has many other dealers/brands and they are all being sold.

The new owners are very very green…so we’ll see what happens…I don’t want a dealer that sells the ‘most’ cars…I want one that sells the best cars…especially when it comes to used McLarens…

I am definitely in the camp of buying from a trusted dealer, so I'll pay more to get a CPO car. When discussing the pricing, the salesman told me that he didn't think the Seller would be willing to split the CPO cost, so the Dealer would do it. Agree with @scottpkura2 on "If it sells great if not I'll keep it price."

They reached out to me today and I went back to them with what I thought was a very fair number, but seems like they have no latitude. Have my eyes open, not in a rush this time of year.

So I have found something else that is a very nice spec car, good price, 15k miles. Only issue I have is the car may have had downpipes and modified exhaust at one point in its life which I assume would also need a tune. This was then brought back to stock form. When I asked the selling dealer, he said the car can be CPO'd if it is "stock". He showed me a screenshot of the McLaren system with the VIN showing nothing abnormal. Even if they gave me a CPO, if something happens mechanically and they scan the ECU, will the fact that it had a prior tune show up? This is all theoretical, of course.

Part of the CPO check is they send the ECU image to Woking who check for previous tuning. If it fails, the car can't be CPO'd.
