"Mark this date: 29 March, h. 7 PM CEST. We’ll feel electric. Until now we gave it a code name - LB744. Now it’s time to find out his real name and all his features."
'Assuming' they know how the car self-identifies is dangerous...I'm offended...Possibly even micro-aggressed... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Two pieces of information we didn't know yet:
  • Price: €510k
  • Weight: 1775kg dry

The price is as expected, but the weight is disappointing. It's Italian dry weight, so in itself that doesn't tell you much, but if you compare it to the base Aventador dry weight - which Lamborghini says is 1575kg - and which weighs 1800kg in reality, this would make the Revuelto 2000kg. I knew the car wouldn't be under 1900kg, but 2000kg is a lot. I don't see how this matches the SF90 performance now - which has almost the same power, but is 200kg lighter. I think it's telling that they only mention the traction limited 0-100km/h time (2.5s), but not the 0-200km/h time - which would actually tell you how fast the car is.

As for the looks, it's not brilliant either. The exterior is more aggressive, but a lot more messy. I am not a fan of the recessed headlights either. The worst thing, though, is that they kept the windshield and side window lines, so it looks like another special version of the Aventador. They copied the arrow shaped daytime running light from the Sian as well, which just adds to the effect.

The interior is nothing to write home about either. Looks way too plasticky (especially the steering wheel buttons) and also like it was designed by a 10 year old who just saw a couple of episodes of Power Rangers or something. Kind of a game console, immature look. Not much seductiveness or Italian flair.

Lastly, I think the name Revuelto is a bit unfortunate.

It looks like I don't have to make a long post thanks!

If it’s truly 4400lbs curb weight, that’s not a car. That’s an suv.

It could be less. I am just speculating based on how they had listed weights up until this point. Maybe, starting with this car, the dry weights are a lot more realistic. But that's a pretty optimistic take.

There is a positive, though; TG says the 0-200km/h is 7s, which is the same as the SF90. I don't see how that would be possible with a car that's 200kg heavier, so it remains to be seen whether the actual weight is, in fact, lower, or if their acceleration claim is very optimistic.

I like how the rear looks. Like a jet plane dual exhaust. Not liking the side intakes. The front 720-esque lights are not winning me over yet. Side and overall profile are so similar to the aventador, it just doesn’t feel like a new model.

That said, maybe it will grow on me in the looks department.

The full carbon fiber chassis is cool. I just don’t understand why this thing is sooooo heavy. They supposedly saved weight in the engine, transmission, and the e-motors seemed to only add around 60kg. I don’t get where it added so much weight.

The first question to ask, really, is why the Aventador was so heavy. 1800kg for a non-hybrid, CF chassied car? Honestly, not quite sure why myself, but the size is one overlooked factor. The Aventador is 4780mm long and 2030mm wide. It's a huge car. Everything on it is big. AWD also adds 50kg+ on top.

Now looking at the Revuelto, it's even bigger! 79mm longer wheelbase and likely over 100mm longer overall. Also 3mm wider and 24mm taller. The new DCT weighs 193kg, which, even if you deduct the weight of the integrated electric motor and the differential, is probably 50-60kg more than the Aventador gearbox. The battery is extra 70kg. The front electric assembly with 2 e-motors, 2 single speed gearboxes and 2 inverters is 80kg. The hybrid components combined are probably around 200kg if not more. Plus with 1000hp you also need extra cooling and actually a completely different cooling circuit for the electrical components. It also has all the modern nonsense like nose lift, rear wheel steering, bunch of radars and cameras, adaptive damping, etc.

So I do understand how the Revuelto is 200kg more than the Aventador, but then the Aventador should never have been so heavy to begin with. The simplest explanation really is that Lamborghini are not very good at lightweighting, or don't care enough to spend the money on it.

"The Revuelto has a dry weight of 3,906 pounds, 490 pounds more than the Aventador Ultimae."

Very intrigued to drive this thing assuming my 6'4" frame can fit. but 3906 pounds dry weight?? with fluids 1000 pounds more than a 765?
Getting close to double the weight of a T.50. Hell yeah, Lambo
