830HP
Ah, I doubt a 3200 lb 720S would have a problem beating a 3700 lb 296GTB. It can beat it in performance, looks & cost..... The real question is how does it do vs. a 720. I expect it will beat up on the 720 until McLaren releases the 720 replacement....

Chris Harris on the Ferrari 296 GTB: has it rewritten the fast car rulebook?
The Ferrari 296 GTB's otherworldly performance is leaving so-called rivals in its wake, says Chriswww.topgear.com
I'd expect a Artura LT no quicker? Aston Martin have nothing in this class the Valhalla is one segment up at the baby Aston is 2025 (from a 2019 preview?). Lamborghini and Porsche a couple of years out.And McLaren are still, what, at least three years away from producing a competitive offering? Interesting that he's essentially calling a car with a V6 a hypercar, although I suppose the Merc is too.
An Artura LT is not going to be 100+hp quicker. I'm not hating, just pointing out, as he does, that the development cycle currently favours those with the deep pockets.I'd expect a Artura LT no quicker? They've timed it pretty good I think and I don't believe anyone can hate on that.🙂
No man I didn't mean you. I was talking generally. McLaren have in automotive terms had, a seeming at or near the top period with 720S and the variants. I guess Ferrari reacted and Lamborghini are going to as well in a few months time albeit next class up.An Artura LT is not going to be 100+hp quicker. I think they've put themselves in a tough spot with the Artura. If it had all gone smoothly, and the car had been delivered 18 months ago without any hitches, they'd have been well set up to be able to deliver a 296 competitor on a reasonable timescale. Now they're running behind, hence the 750 stop-gap, and I don't think the switch from numbers to names is helping either because it muddies the waters about exactly what the Artura is, whether it's a Sport series replacement (which we all know it is, but most people don't) or a 296 competitor. So now it looks to most of the world as if McLaren have produced a V6 hybrid supercar, Ferrari have produced a V6 hybrid supercar, and Ferrari have won the battle hands down. By the time next-gen 720 arrives, Ferrari will probably already have trotted out a 296 Pista, so that new Super series better be great! No man I didn't mean you. I was talking generally. Competition is going but I'm now wondering what "VS" is like I don't know if Ferrari control it tightly but the Lamborghini guys always offer up some pretty solid information.
Regardless the 770S (?) will be fighting away so it'll be interesting for sure.🙂
is there even a 720S vs 296gtb comparison. because I don't think ferrari can even surpass the 720S?I think they've put themselves in a tough spot with the Artura. So why are McLaren replacing the 720?is there even a 720S vs 296gtb comparison. because I don't think ferrari can even surpass the 720S?
hybrid power? keep the top spot?So why are McLaren replacing the 720?
The 750 won't be a hybrid.hybrid power? keep the top spot?
