Did they fit the new style or old style accumulators?

If you're not sure, stick your phone in the front wheel arch and take a pic of the top of the damper.

Per the service manager they retro fitted my car with the newest 765LT accumulators. They said it is a bit of a project which is why it took 3 days but they were happy with how it worked.
They also updated the suspension control module to work with the 765LT parts.

I got the suspension error twice 2 weekends ago. I took a picture of the fault on the screen and sent it to the dealer. I already had an appointment for something else but when they checked my car they couldn't duplicate the problem and it showed no codes. I had all 4 four replaced in Feb 21 and now my car is under the ext warranty which does not cover them.
However the dealer said they are still covered under Mac's 2 year part warranty.

I hope they do fail so I can get the upgraded 765 part that my service guy mentioned.

Probably gonna say the part is covered but the labor isn't, and the labor is $6,000.

$6K!!!!! I guess I didn't consider the fact that its a part warranty only.

What do you charge?
$3,200 parts and labor.

Thanks. Hopefully I can use you for non warranty work here in NY.
What part of NY? I'll be in Rochester in a month.
Accumulator and Battery Gen 3 is back ordered now without estimate of arrival until next year ???
As I know
I'm in Seattle right now doing accumulators and I have more in stock. They aren't backordered for me 😂

I'm in long Island, Nassau country. So far the warning hasn't come back yet and I'm monitoring it but I'll keep you posted.
I was there like, 6 weeks ago. I know the roads were shockingly good there, take it into the city and horrible road conditions might trigger it.

Could be. I drive my car everywhere. I love its ability to smooth out the bumpy roads in the comfort setting.

Ps. I emailed the dealer and they said the parts and labor is covered if it fails within 2 years. Now I'm really rooting for failure:ROFLMAO:

By counter measure he means the newly developed accumulators, first seen on the 765LT and now being rolled out as a replacement for all 720S being done under warranty.

Anyone outside warranty needs to make sure they are getting the new ones too if they are having the job done.

I'm very specifically not selling 765 accumulators to individuals because of the needed software update. If I'm doing them I may do it by request if they want to spend the extra money.

why even bother with the old style if you can get the updated ones just as easily ? and your MDS can do the update?. only a few $$ more.
Granted we don't know how long the updated ones will last yet but we definitely know how short a life the old ones have.

Not every set I sell I install. It's more than a few bucks more. You can get 5+ years out of the old style and we don't know longevity of new ones at all. Unless specifically requested I probably won't do a set with 765 till I try it on my own car to see how it acts.
