it’s grey not lavender. Dunno what the hate is for. If you’re looking for a track spec 765, it’s fantastic. Throw a wrap on it. DGAF. Compared to all the coupes that are schizo spec’d to be suboptimal for either track or weekend driving, that one is cohesive and doesn’t require a bunch of aftermarket work.

Apparently it’s not for shadowfax. Whatever. It’s much better spec’d than the examples folks here have been cherry picking to show how bad the market has tanked.
Looks more lavender than grey to me - definitely not my cup of tea if i were in the market to buy one.

Granted, general spec is good with all the carbon, cage etc - no argument there. If it were one of the more popular colors i bet it would have sold much quicker and easier.

The high option price of the scoop (which most wouldn’t be prepared to pay for/or want due to the rear visibility issue) has also clearly pushed the price up, so between the scoop and the color it may have possibly disqualified a considerable number of potential buyers from entertaining it at the current asking price.

If it were to be bought to be driven mainly as a track car it would need the brakes and cats changed to be viable to run too, so these additional expenses would also come into effect on top of the current high ask.

Can't believe this thread is closing in on 1K comments. :ROFLMAO:
Spec matters. A lot…

This one also surprisingly sold (pending) pretty quick. Dealer never advertised price, wonder what it went for..

this car has to be the worst 765 specced. ever.

Well, after 2 months of bidding on 765's and losing out every time, I finally got one and have a price point to guide with values.

It is the Nardo Orange/Dove Grey one that I won the BAT auction for a month ago.

I spoke with the seller after the auction and ended up buying it for $430,000. MSRP was around $390,000.

I overpaid because I was getting desperate and because I had lost out on 4-5 765LT's that I was bidding on recently. But I was also willing to pay extra for a unique color combo. From what I've seen online I think there might be only 2 cars in this color spec in the country. Regardless, I'm happy.

Congrats!!! When do you take delivery? Definitely post up pics, that is a gorgeous spec!

I don't think you overpaid.

wow, it looks like you did everything right. What a sensational 765LT, congratulations!

Maybe I can sneak my new owner questions in here instead of starting a couple new threads. Wondering if anyone has advice for the following:

1) The service overdue light is on. The car did have service done, which shows on the CarFax, but the light wasn't reset. Is there any way to do this individually or must it be done at a McLaren dealer? I do not want to add 100+ miles to the car just to get a light turned off.

2) I usually swap out to a better looking steering wheel right away on all my new cars. The 765LT wheel is rather dinky and disappointing. Any reason not to switch to an aftermarket wheel?

3) Same with the seatbelts. I like switching them to a better color combo. Either orange or gray for this one. Any words of warning or am I fine to proceed?

Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in, but:

1. I believe an MDS is needed to reset the service light. McMedics can do it, but a 100 mile trip in your new-to-you 765LT to your local McLaren dealership would be a welcome journey, no? Especially to start building a relationship with them?
2. Would you be swapping to a non-McLaren steering wheel? If you, I would be concerned with the airbag/warning light/alarm, as well as the warranty.
3. Swapping to another color belt shouldn’t be an issue as long as it is a McLaren seatbelt.

I'm 5 foot 9 and 175 pounds, and I was absolutely shocked at how small these seats are. I have like 1 inch of space on either side. I love it though, makes you realize that you are truly in a race car.
LOL. Those seats should be fantastic for you. For all the debate over the pad thickness, from what I've seen they appear to be customizable. If I compare yours to mine, the pads look the same except for the shoulders which are much thicker on yours. I've been on a building phase in the gym the last few months and I can tell my shoulders are getting bigger because of the fit in the driver's seat. 😂
