Hey guys, hope you're all doing well. I'm very seriously looking into getting a 720 but I decided to join and ask you all about your opinions on your cars, is there any specific issues that keep popping up ? Is there any quality issues? things of that nature would be appreciated & any advice from your end would be welcomed.
On a quick side note- I noticed that aftermarket parts are crazy expensive , anyone know of a vendor who sells aftermarket parts at a cheaper rate? (Mainly looking for Carbon fiber parts both inside & out)
Thank you in advance.

My experience (2019 720s) is that it is a great quality car for the things that really matter like not leaving you stranded on the road, and it has racecar performance beyond compare. Expect a few niggly things upon delivery that can be taken care of on warranty. For example, I had an air vent that would not toggle on/off, and my door had a slight misalignment where it rubbed a tiny bit, and a funky clunk in steering when driving with it lifted. It seems pretty common to have at least something. I just made a list and had no issue with them taking care of those on warranty. If you are super-picky detailed oriented looking for a piece of jewelry with absolutely zero flaws, then you might want a Pagani instead.

Regarding aftermarket - there are not that many McLarens out there, so pretty much anything make/model specific is going to be made in very low quantity for a small handful of customers, which generally means expensive. For things like wheels that could fit on other cars as well, and can be made with automated manufacturing and such - not so expensive.

If you are looking for aftermarket stuff, check with your dealers service department to discuss any possible warranty issues before buying / assembling, as some items may make warranty contentious.

Edit: I forgot to offer my opinion - I absolutely love my 720s. I know I would also be happy with the F8 Tributo I had on order, or the Huracan EVO or Aventadors I was considering, but 720 is the choice I made, and I get butterflies just thinking about taking it for a drive.
