After 2 years with a Porsche Gen 2 GT3RS I picked up my McLaren on friday.

I purchased a high spec under 800 mile example for about £60k below new list price which I believe represents great value.

Did about 200 miles at the weekend end and am very impressed with the performance and adjustabilty of the car between the various modes.

Porsche was great but a bit one dimensional.

Fantastic value for money,i think you were very shrewd as with the new update it is now a cheap car ,even Harry (evo) thinks so!! GT3rs is a great car,but you can use more of the 12c on the open road, but im sure you know that after 200 miles.Welcome to the club :)

You have a bargain. It is a great drivers car....whatever that means.

Are you saying you paid £120k or £60 below spec retail price?

Hicksy, a very good deal, forget stealth wheels, you can afford gold plated!

What is the colour....Super Nova silver?

My GT3RS had gold wheels ! Car is the standard silver that is why I wanted darker wheels to make the car a bit more special.

What is this 'makes me feel better'.

Is it because we have one of the most capable road going sports cars or we could have lost our hats but we have only lost our caps?

It is a ridiculous amount of depreciation and my hat is of to Hicksy who saved £60k by waiting 12 months and can now buy himself a Pannigale S, a CVO Harley and 10 Mclaren track days and still be quids in!

That makes me feel better for Hicksy as I cry in my low calorie soup :)

Good point RIC,i always bought it to keep,i suppose for me its whats happening in the real world thats more important, thats were i can make up the difference if it ever takes off again as i wont be leaving this brand even if it means stringing it out between cars,as in the long run every manufacturer will be in the same boat,at least for european sales !!:(

Just don't get any of the "interim" upgrades done on your car. My recent gearbox software was a big backwards step. Can't wait for the biggie in November when all will be well, even the radio!
