Just got a huge book in the mail from McLaren, signed by Ron Dennis. It features details of every race victory up through Shanghai in April 2011. To give you an idea of size, it's larger than "Driving Ambition".

I purchased a boxed set of this book and the updated version of 'McLaren the Cars' direct from the publisher just a few weeks ago. Would have been nicer to get it "free" with Ron's signature, but that would also mean I'd have something more exciting on the way... and I don't.

Looks like Ron has been busy Hyper,what Vin are you?? He must be sending out a couple of hundred at least,the guys in the Uk got theirs a few weeks back.
I thought it was nice going to the trouble of signing them for the first few,but it shows respect for his customers if he is doing it for everyone.

ps I got a xmas card from the factory,hand signed by the client team,very personal,I think Ron is in his office upstairs with a sore wrist.

Me too! Mine came a few days ago. The matching book shows every vehicle built by McLaren in chronological order, saw that one at Park Place.

Interesting that most comments seem to be based in the US. Usually these "gifts" are organised by the dealerships.

How many have been received by Uk prospective customers ? Or is it driven by dealership.

Anyone from London dealership received a book?

Those two chimneys behind the driver, at the back ,seem to indicate the 4 M8 was an early steam/petrol hybrid.

Or did it have a particulate ion transducer, like the DeLorian in Back to the Future, and the chimineys are for putting the refuse fuel in?

Certainly need the book to understand Mclaren history.
