WTB 765LT Spider. How much over MSRP Should I expect to Pay?

Hello all,
Yesterday I had the opportunity to drive a 750S Spider and 765LT Spider side by side. Both are amazing cars, but the 765 offered an extra element of rawness and exhilaration that put a huge smile on my face. I have owned four McLarens over the years with a recent break of a few years and I am ready to get back into one. Now that I have decided on the 765LT Spider, I was curious if anyone can offer input on what I should expect to pay for one? I am seeing prices anywhere from $100-125k over MSRP, but I'm curious what they are actually selling for. With tariffs and the economy, wars, etc., the used exotic market seems all over the place. I have never paid more than $20k over MSRP for any car so $100k, or anywhere near that, is a big pill to swallow. I was hoping to get one for $25k over, 50k tops. I am sure it all depends on the dealer, their cost, their motivation, etc., but curious if that is realistic.

I read a lengthy thread started in March that touched on 765 values/prices, which was very helpful, but it left off in April/May and curious how the market may have changed since.

I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and any input or insight that can be provided.

A minimum of 75-100k over for selling. Coupes are selling for 25-50k with low milage and closer to MSRP with high mileage. There are less and less on the market and the good ones go fast.

The market will not get cheaper as time goes on and in my opinion will be more expensive. The dip has already occurred. As the cars get older, more rare and more desirable the market will only increase in pricing. Look at the pricing on the Ferrari Speciale or Pista and see what they are doing.

While this may potentially be true... the trend of the 675LT market showed us otherwise. If the 765LT market follows the same trend, we may see them go well under MSRP in the future. However, the overall "view" and reputation of McLaren has certainly changed for the better over the last 5 years, so that may keep 765LT prices high as we are now starting to see 675LT prices climb again.

I think the premium is dependent on the original MSRP as well as miles or other considerations (tuned, etc.). I passed on a high MSRP ($545k+), low miles 765LT spider that was for sale at something like MSRP+$20k. I shouldn't have but that's a different story. The salesman at the selling dealership told me that, in his experience, cars with high MSRP tended to sell at smaller premiums. I just bought a 765LT spider that had 7,200 miles on it at MSRP+$30k. In my experience, you don't really know where any 765 will sell until you start actually negotiating in earnest. Good Luck!

How much over MSRP depends a lot on dealer, location, miles and spec. As someone above mentioned…the higher spec cars ($525k++) are at MSRP or only slightly over…$100-$125k over MSRP is silly and a total rip off in this market environment. I’d look for a spider at $25-$50k over with lower miles. There are many sitting so don’t be afraid to offer low and/or walk away…there are plenty out there…

Funny story. At the recent LT event, they had a 765lt spider with delivery miles that had just come in. There were 3 or 4 of us standing around and someone asked the price. They hadn't set a price yet and so one person says he would give them MSRP. I said I'll give them 25k over, the next person said he would give 50k over. Dealer said he appreciated the bidding but it wasn't ready to be sold yet.

You, and others are right, it is very dependant on spec and MSRP. The very high ones are sitting. The low 400k ones are selling for the 500k range from what I've been told.

@xPhantom if the pricing of the spider dips below MSRP you will have some stiff competiton as I would throw my hat in the ring (as would others).

It’s strange that in the UK the Spiders have been on or around MSRP for a while but the Coupes were upto £50k below.

That’s changed recently with Coupes being at or slightly above MSRP, however there is only 1 Coupe and 2 Spiders currently being advertised

Always like the US market as it keeps McLaren prices high
