I have picked up 3 pretty big chips from airborne stones (lot of them in the UK) and suspect that the screen will begin to deteriorate. It must be a BIG ticket item!

Presumably replacement demands some knowhow and skill? So is there any recommendation who to use?

Mine is pretty stone peppered across the entire screen, this recent low sun is not making it that enjoyable :( a large chip may have finished it off..
I think a word with the insurance company and McLaren Birmingham is in order...

Years ago when I had a 355, some nice person decided to throw a bottle off a bridge, which went straight through windscreen

Roof was down as well & so a fraction of a second later and it would have hit me, which at 70 mph, doesn't bear thinking about.

No one would touch it and it ended up being trailered 100 miles to Ferrari in Egham (UK importer) to be replaced.

God knows how much that cost the insurers?

Hopefully McLaren have better availability of screens, but a trip back to Woking might be necessary.
