My dealer talked me out of it, saying they were having fading issues. I got Memphis red instead. My 12C was VR. I still prefer VR. Enjoy!

they said what? VR was fading out? Doesn't make sense. Never heard of anyone complain about fading paint on a Mac.

There are several posts in the forum about fading volcano colors. It's not a myth.

guess I haven't been around here long enough to see. I'll do some digging now.

I think the fading was rectified when they switched paint makers for the Volcano colors IIRC it was the first year of the 720S where they did the switch over of paint manufacturers (any Vin above 2188) they switched to AkzoNobel from BASF paint.
