Depends on how good it is, right? The LaFerrari Aperta was $2 million, if the P18 is as good as it seems, I think it's worth it.
Laf was 1.2mn now 2.5-3mn, laf aperta, 2mn as you said now 4-5mn,
P1 GBP800k, now 1.2mn, Senna 1mn now 600k?, Speedtail, 2.5mn now <2?, Elva who knows.
You can pay 4mn for a F250 and pretty much know you wont lose money on it.
you buy a P18 for 2mn and even odd on whether you lose money on it?

You can stick a stencil on a concrete wall and people will buy it.

I know of several Elvas that sold for slightly above 1 million. Massive loss. P18 is interesting. I do not have an allocation but just had dinner with a buddy who is getting one. It should be a great car but with any of these cars, if you want one bad enough- you can get em after. allocation is irrelevant.

i had an allocation but passed on it. i'll take the F250 instead. im just not willing to give mclaren an unsecured interest free loan to be able to see the car.
will go to Maranello in early October and didnt have to pay for that privilege.
having said P18 will be a great car, much more track focused than the F250.
Ferrari seem to be taking their cues from racing cars and then making them as road usable as possible.
Mclaren is taking a road car and trying to make it as racing car like as possible.
no right or wrong there, just different approaches

Ferrari no doubt will be a better investment. It’s a shame though they are making their non obtainable cars great (sp3 is a masterpiece) and their regular cars are quite sad. Looking forward to seeing both cars soon. I have my eyes on an Elva- and prices are good for those. P18 will see how it all played out.

Do you have the SP3?

F250 is just a code name, same as P18. The code name for the LaFerrari was F150. Incidentally, there has already been a lawsuit about this when Ford sued Ferrari over the name of their 2011 F1 car, which was also called F150.

We don't know yet what the new Ferrari car will be called, but don't worry, based on their history, it will be something much dumber than F250! ;)

Right? La Ferrari has to be one of the worst names ever for a car.

This is a big step forward for McLaren. Many people say to me that McLarens are all the same (same chassis, same engine, bla bla bla...) I have a felling that after the P18 comes out, they will shut up.
Probably the same people that have bought at least 3 of the 10 Huracans.
Why did they name it after a Ford truck?
Because they want people to have name recognition.
