I visited the MPC today and was very impressed with McLarens approach to car quality, their dedication and motivation plus the commitment to simply be the best.

The facility is outstanding but works because of the people and management within it. The quality assurance at each step is visible - chassis build, paint/body finish and assembly - with both the paint and interiors to the highest standards

I don't think one car had the same spec within the facility with all combinations of colour, wheels and interiors and I must say some of you have wild taste!

The oranges, silvers, greys, blacks and reds all work but need careful matching with wheels and body adornments. The staff are already knowledgeable on the impact of various combinations.

They are shipping cars and will be on target pretty soon. I think, given that this is a complete new start up of car and assembly, that they have made huge progress in a short time - it is a very complex challenge.

The cars in all the various colours and finish combinations looks the biz. It's dramatic, just need to drive it !!!!

The building is being prepared for customer visits which my guess is some weeks away.

I have every confidence that McLaren will deliver and the wait will be worth it to get a car built to the highest standards.

Good stuff. So are you saying my leopard print interior spec is hard on the eyes? :)

No, it's the neon pink wheels with green pinstriping on the doors that really make it rough on the eyes...

LOL, par for the course in Vegas, no? You know somebody is gonna do it, so may as well be the first!
The one I struggled with was silver body with volcano red splitter, red callers and black wheels. But we all see things differently.

BTW ice silver looked the biz as did every colour, oh decisions. Not many white cars but good as well.

Hmm, sounds like maybe they were trying to get as close as possible to the look of the Vodafone Formula One livery?

That's actually kind of funny to read. Last year a potential customer asked me to Photoshop the images from the online configurator to look quite similar.

I'd have to guess he must have actually pulled the trigger and ordered it or someone else thinks just like him.
