Bonkers, looked like you were having fun, bet those rear wheels are now pitted!

Did you have a rally Ford Escort when younger:D:D:D

It's a great road with reasonable visibility, just a bit tight to be doing much over NSL. Also have to watch for humps and depressions in the road which can creep up rather suddenly and give the undertray a friendly scrape. Got to admit I did hold my breath watching it back around 3:40!
Wheels seemed ok, but those sidepods do hoover up all sorts of detritus.
Think formative years hooning around the back roads of Buckinghamshire in a 205 certainly set up me up for a healthy (dis)respect for country roads :)

I took my MAC to the West Coast in March and it was sunny!!!

Great roads with no traffic due to no Tesco's or Sainsbury's.

On the way up I cannot resist Penrith to Hartside Cafe/Alston, especially in the week when it's relatively empty. Met a young couple in a tricked up Caterham who had spent their entire morning doing the run!

Off to the Dolomites and Italian Lakes on Thursday chased by thunderstorms.

By the way do you have a sports exhaust, it sounds good (but I'm not a journalist)?

Interesting to see the effect of the orange mac with regard to passing places, since they all moved straight over, which isn't always the case. Perhaps I should have had orange after all - will see.
Just a little further up that road, we had a mad German in a hired Focus, overtake, pull in and admire the view, then hare off again repeatedly. Then we came around a bend and he was impressed into the front of an MG who, coming the other way, had correctly pulled off to his left, whereas the German, going too fast, had the natural reaction (for him) of pulling to the right. There was plenty of room to the left, and they went head on. They must have been there for hours getting assistance from Inverness. (We stopped; no-one hurt). Nice video - thankfully no sheep!

I found in general all over that weekend that the Scots seemed well practised with the courtesy/awareness of moving over to let faster traffic through. Very refreshing.
For some reason most seemed to wind their windows down as well. Can't think why...
