I'm pretty sure you meant "McLaren World Record 2.31s Pitstop"... In a sport where thousands of a second count, let's not go shorting this guys 9/10s of 1.

Wonder if we'll see it beaten before the season is through.
I think Red Bull had the record just before them (also set this season) so we might be on a run of high-speed pit stops.
The part I find very interesting is that these times are only measured on the time the car is completely stopped. If the teams can start finding ways to start working on the car as it's pulling into the box, they're going to drop that time further. I'm sure there's an absolute minimum on car-up, tire off, tire on, car down time, even if the nuts are going on/coming off with the car in motion.

Should be interesting because during the race the commentators were saying some teams claim that a 2.0 second stop is possible by end of season

There is a long way to go yet.....magnetic hubs......half turn wheel nut.....quarter turn...10th turn.....get rid of the wheel nut......stopping at full pit speed in an instant.....wheel slide off vertical as opposed to pull off ......on and on it goes.......like the time change since the 4 minute mile which was considered impossible.
