Use your supercar everyday? Where's the proof?

Just a bit of fun.

Those of us who aren't lucky enough to own a supercar, are at least cheered up when we actually see one being driven on the road. Alas, many owners only seem to buy these exotics for garage candy. Shame.

So, in order to recognise those owners of 12c's who are using their car for it's intended purpose, I'd like propose the following to McLaren Automotive.

They should issue a 5000 mile decal badge that can be stuck to the drivers door. Further badges awarded for every 5000 miles covered. Sort of like those bombing mission completed seen on B17's.

They should also hand out a special trophy, and free VIP passes to the Monaco GP, every year to the car that's covered the most miles.

Btw, who has done the biggest mileage so far? :D

Robbie... How about your 458? Is it being ignored? Any comparison thoughts now that you've had both for a while?
I'm only at 900 but I'll get to 5000 very quickly for paddock passes! :)

...Can I choose Spa rather than Monaco under your plan? :D

HI, Comparing the 458 to the 12-C is very easy, they are 2 very different cars, in every way.
It's true the 458 seems to give a little bit more fun, saying that when you getin the 12-C it puts a smile on my face.
The sound of the 458 is superier although Ben ( McLaren London) has made my sports exhuast sound better. the handling on the 12-C is more refined and shaper. Its quicker then the 458 and now the teething problems have been sorted the 12-C is a joy to drive, but then getting home sometimes i look at the 458 and think sod it!!! "im going out in that beauty"!!!

The 458 certainly makes you concentrate on very windy roads thats when the fun comes in!!

one thing for all you 12-c drivers now and in the furture on a damp or wet road ( not in winter mode) this car can be a challenge. if you put your foot down and hit 3000 revs the arse end can kick out. Although this is great fun and the look on peoples faces is the best thing (please be carful)
My son and i go out in both cars and play, its good fun when we fill up at a petrol station and swap cars and sometimes even at the traffic lights!!! You can imagine peoples faces when their crossing the road and we are running around the cars changing drivers ( great fun)

People ask me which one would i have, my answer is simple BOTH!!!! their reply but you can only have one and i say BOTH!!!! Hope this has been helpful

HAHAH - that's awesome Robbie! I'll be doing the same with my pops next week. He was actually going to leave for a year-long voyage around the world two weeks ago, but put it off a month just so he could have a go in the 12C.
Robbie, great input... Thanks!

Nah, sunny California. Where it's a balmy 72 Fahrenheit today.

Any special badge for this? :)
Light dusting overnight. Took the car over to get Opti-Coat and wrap first thing in the morning. Plenty of folks taking pictures on the way. Either they liked the car, or were thinking nobody is going to believe the dumb arse I saw today! (Sottozeros work great so far, btw)

NICE! Black looks gorgeous against the snow.
6e,think its the first time ive see ceramics on standard wheels,it make the rotors look even bigger. At least the snow will keep you to the required running in period, ive tried using all 8500rpm in slippy conditions and entertaining isnt the right word if youve nowhere to go.
Keep safe;)

I might do a photo shoot against some snowy backdrops, once the detailing is done. Might make for some unique photos.
