These $1400 and the $2900 amounts sound nice, but, is that for full insurance coverage WITH 'Agreed Value' for your McLaren?? With an agreed value policy, the value of your car is determined at the time you purchase your policy, so if your vehicle suffers a covered total loss, there's no haggling over value. You get fully paid!! Better safe, than sorry !! :)

of course. wouldn't want just the basic coverage when insuring a car like this. however, this is not a typical car that gets driven on daily base, which the policy will limit the annual usage by limiting the mileage. but again, not looking to put 10,000 miles on it per year anyway. :)

Dont think anyone knows the deals at costco. LOL

I have all my cars under costco insurance.

They also insure for value of car and if stolen or total damage give you check for a whole new car on what you paid for it. MSRP

It cost me $350 every 6 months.

Trust me it sounds dirt cheap but its true and great coverage.

I have 5 cars under this plan and all pretty cheap.

My prius is around $250 every 6 months.

Only catch you need a perfect or great driving record.

BIG_DJE,
I do believe that the Costco (Ameriprise) insurance policies are only offered as 'actual cash value' with some limited gap coverage above that specific amount; they do not offer true 'declared value/agreed value' policies (as companies such as Hagery or GrundyInsurance will offer). IOW, "if stolen or total damage" you will not receive a check "for a whole new car on what you paid for it (MSRP)".
A large number of people are confused about these types of policies; where as with a (Hagerty, Grundy) type of policy there will be no crying in the event of a catastrophe !!
As I said: be safe, rather than sorry.;)

1,600 per year with State Farm. Includes $500K liability, property damage and collision/non-collision damage. $1,000 deductible. I think it covers market value of the car, not original MSRP.

AAA - About $4K per year, but I have... um... a sullied record. And a totaled car in the last 2 years. So I think I'm getting a steal. Plus I just had to replace the windshield on the 12C - $50 w/ the AAA insurance.
