I've never found insurance that covers both here in the States, at a reasonable rate. In the past, I've had to buy track-day specific insurance, at $1500-2500/event. DEFINITELY worth it. I had a fool in a Merc black series plow my LP560 into a barrier at Thunderhill, cracked the frame and totaled. The on-track ins company had a check to me by the end of the week for the full appraised value of the car (which was in fact more than I'd paid for the car and the insurance combined!).
