The folks at Wheelsandmore seem to be channeling a devilish path with their latest creative interpretation on the McLaren MP4-12C. Known more in Europe then here in the states, the company provides tuning packages on some of the world's finest exotics for customers who are looking for something a little more then stock can provide. We do find it "interesting" that 666 hp was the number achieved from a new exhaust and improved electronics.

Wheelsandmore says 800 hp is achievable with further modifications. Suspension is lowered by 25 millimeters in order to improve the road-handling, along with the addition of new twenty inch wheels, mated to super sticky 245 front and 325 rear tires.

If you want to share an image that is hosted from TeamSpeed's own servers you have to upload it somewhere else. Simply copying their URLs and inserting them into tags on another site results in this:

You can still see them here because they are cached by your browser on your PC. If you forced Refresh (Ctrl + F5 on a PC; not certain how on a Mac) they would disappear for you as well.

Here's the shots though - uploaded to my Photobucket account:

The mods sound interesting but those wheels should be melted down.

Had to happen!!,it seems alot of the tuning houses are going to be doing this,i would think there will more options than takers and hopefully they do it to promote sales on their more mundane models,or im just getting too old as ive done more than my fair share of modding, but those were the days when you could make a difference,at this level it cant be for performance as im sure without the testing it would be a backward step.

+1. I beg to be getting too old too, as I don't think this kind of nonsense does any good to the image of McL.

Yeah, yuck. I'm going to guess they also screwed up the suspension by lowering it so much.
DITTO.........wheels look out of place. That carbon front splitter along with probably the rear will take a beating. Screwed up ride character too I bet and more than likely will not perform that much better......straight line that is. DRAG time will b better, but u can get muscle camaro or mustang for that:rolleyes:

Can't get much better than the standard three McLaren options.

Amazed then, when someone in US Photoshopped photos of my car with these wheel options:

Hideous or what?

Or am I missing something?

Only the first wheel even comes close to working with the design of the car in my mind. I would wonder how many aftermarket wheels will have the quality, strength and focus on low weight McLaren put into the options they offer. Making a fashion statement isn't what I'd be focusing my attention on.

BBS F1 & ADV.1 5.0 are the only after-market wheel design that I personally find appealing for the MP4-12C.

May be an after-market analog of the OEM Super Lightweight wheels, but w/ more concave w/ greater flaring of the spokes, would look nice.

I'm a big fan of split 5-spokes w/ some concave/flare to them, tho' I'm not sure if they'd be suitable for the MP4-12C.

The OEM Standard wheels are very McLaren. The OEM Lightweight wheels seem like a signature to the MP4-12C that captures 2012 in a snapshot, much like the DeLorean wheels were to the DMC12, the Speedline wheels were to the F40, Borbet monoblock wheels were to the S-Class, the punched-out spoke wheels were to the Lamborghini lineage(s).

You bet they did. I wonder how they recalibrated the hydrolic system and sensors etc.

Can you imagine what the rolling mass of those wheels is . Car would be so unstable at speed. If you have ever driven a Ferrari with the big Novitec wheels you would know what i mean. I dont know any "driver" who has put on bigger wheels and not regreted it.

I love that they say they've improved the handling. That would be like saying they fixed the Mona Lisa. Seriously - they think they can out-think McLaren? This version is more about "lookin' at" than "doin' with." I'm sure 17-year olds everywhere think it's the biz.
