Can TPMS be retrofitted to allow a change from Standard to Lightweight wheels?
I don't see why that would be a problem. Can TPMS be retrofitted to allow a change from Standard to Lightweight wheels?
I am sure you can use generic sensors. Did this on our Panamera, cost was less than $200 total, Ebay, not the ridiculous Porsche sensors for $200 each.Yes it can. The cost is around 700$ for a set of 4 TMPS sensors and valves in either stealth or silver color.
McDc that's like a third of one percent of the total cost of your car. Your sounding like Markjayw and his statement on the updated version of Tapatalk2 at a cost of 1.99. Hey it's only money, lets all keep the economy going by spending when ever need be no questions asked. Lol..... Cheers....??Yes it can. What the heck are you talking about???McDc that's like a third of one percent of the total cost of your car. He is just teasing me. No big deal. TPMS sensors like I mentioned can be had for much less than $200 each. What the heck are you talking about???
The OP asked about the possibility to retrofit the TPMS and I replied yes plus added the price for additional convenience so where is the problem?
I reread everything that was stated and it seemed to be flowing in that direct for some reason. May I suggest you reread it again and I think you may realize how things can become misconstrued. Just like you've assumed that I've been drinking, not sure how you came to that conclusion. Ooh could it be this. Cheers....??May I suggest a couple of rounds for yourself or maybe you would prefer something a little more expensive. Cheers....??Lol.....Just reread the thread. You seem to have quoted the wrong post. I never said one should buy cheaper no name sensors on ebay, actually I just bought another set from McL last week for my track wheels.
Don't drink and post, really![]()
I think you may have misunderstood what I was trying to say McDc and it was initiated by Markjayw, so lets blame it all on him. Actually I may have been at fault as well, assuming that you may want to cheapen out, which of course was initiated by Mark. You know the old saying never assume it makes a ass out of you and me, but in this case out of Mark and I. I'm totally against cheap crap especially if its going on my cars, I believe in buying it once yet buying it right even if it is more money. That said I will still negotiate on getting a better price, as for the drinking I rarely drink, but I love to say. Cheers.....??Ok, bought a bottle of cheapest wine from the local store, but still not getting what your problem is with my post ?
Are you suggesting that all people buying original parts from McLaren, like the TMPS sensors, are stupid people with too much money to spend ?
A set of TMPS sensors is 0.3% of the total cost of the car and really nothing compared to the annually running costs like service, tires, brakes, fuel, insurance etc. so why bother with cheap stuff from china on ebay ???
