Trailor for Sundays 29th Jan Top Gear shows the boys thrashing the cars with what looks like the MP12 both leaving the Lambo for dead and leaving the road.

Looks like good footage.

You know they will like the Lambo as it's one of a kind but they seem to be smiling behind the MP12 steering wheel. British journalists may be on 'the turn' at last but I guess.

The third car may be the Noble M600?

Yeah, that's an M600 - they were filming the three in Italy earlier this year. Can't wait. Sometimes I almost feel bad for torrenting the episodes, but damn, they edit the crap out of them before showing them here weeks later!

"Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May head to Italy for a supercar shootout featuring the Lamborghini Aventador, the McLaren MP4-12C and the Noble M600.

Their trip starts at the incredible Nardo test track, a facility so massive it is visible from space, before heading north for a nerve-wracking drive around the centre of Rome. The journey concludes at the legendary Imola circuit, a track challenging enough to have embarrassed many an F1 driver, with a timed challenge against the incredible skills of the Stig."

Wonder how many Ascari were sold and what they are up to now?

The Noble M600 gets positive Press but I would not consider it but can not explain why, however....

Perhaps it lacks mystique and lineage like McL? But good luck to them as they are doing a fantastic job by all accounts.

Perhaps Andy will buy one when they launch a drop head:eek:

Go for it Andy, it will look nothing like the illustration in Car Magazine. That's for sure.

I would have considered an M600 a couple of years ago when Lee Noble was involved and it was so far removed from everything else even at that price point. With Noble gone and the current 12C and F458, though, that no longer holds and the lack of tech in the Noble M600 really hurts the car in comparison.

On the Ascari's believe the number is around 20. One or two turn up for sale every year.

On the Noble M600, I sat in one and found it uncomfortable and the layout of everything just horrible. Not a car I would want to spend any time in. No interest in driving it after that.

Anybody know when the new TG season begins on BBC America, for us in the new world? The website states "the spring", not too specific. It'll probably be on YouTube first!!

Dear Ron,
Please can you add 'spits blue flames from the rear' to the 12C option list...

Not great to be TG second choice ! How did that happen:mad:
A show that's all about screen candy choosing the poster car over the real world supercar - there's a shocker.

TBH, if I had the neccessaries (private track, rottweilers, underground garage, tolerance and patience for crap customer service/user experience, desire to lose thousands of pounds in cash and depreciation, really deep pockets and complete antipathy towards running costs) I'd have an Aventador......as well as a 12C. Different beasts, both worthy of worship (wierdly I still wouldn't have a 458).

Wonder what the Italian Stig's times would have been in the other cars...;)

For me Audi have to be congratulated for their handling of Lambo as they have resisted going 'soft' in a styling sense. It is a one of a kind, totally unique and without peers but the blue flame out of the exhaust was very Starship Enterprise

My wife wants her Audi A1 modifying.
