Discovered the hard way that staggered pressures recommended are major cause of tail happiness on track. Running 29-30 hot all the way around makes the handling way more neutral. Went to Pure McLaren, talked at length to instructors. They continuously monitor tire pressures whenever a car comes in after laps, and set hot pressure to 29. They don't use staggered pressures at all.
Talked to Chris Blank at O'Gara. He recommends 30 all around all the time.
I have no idea why staggered pressures are recommended. I now run 30 cold all around even on the street.
