How many of you have ( first hand) installed the tow hook....I have never experienced such a difficult install of a hook on any other car..I am curious what others have experienced...Mac dealer says it is tricky but normal..I am not so sure..will try again but in interim....your feedback would be appreciated..

Curious, but why did you need to use the tow hook?
I had my car returned from service on a flatbed ( dealer 40 miles away)...The first time they did not use the hook ( used strapping and hook) and damaged a suspension sensor causing a PCC fault..The dealer had it replaced in no time at all but it was a PITA as the car had to make two trips...I strongly recommend using the hook whenever the need to tow exists..I just worked with the hook again and it is very very TIGHT.....Not a big deal but I simply cannot believe they all fit like this...
