Does anyone have a picture of the "Standard Silver" paint that you might be able to share?
Also, if anyone has seen the Standard Silver, can you comment on how it looks compared to say the Ice Silver, or Graphite Silver? (The ggrphite silver looks very classy in recent pictures).
Thanks

Thunder, All the silvers are different. On a recent visit to the MPC Ice Silver caught my eye as it was 'bright' and suited the car - to my eyes - the issue being we all see colours differently. The Ice Silver seemed to accentuate the body curves.

Blacks and Silvers dominated the production line, surprise surprise, but all looked good.

No help really, you just have to see for yourself IMO.

Ice silver has a definite pearl effect about it. It's lovely but don't spec it without seeing a sample since it is not what you would naturally envisage as a silver.

Standard silver is a fairly classic silver. Titanium is darker - close to a gun metal finish. Graphite is very much a gun metal grey. It makes the car look very moody, especially when fitted with stealth pack wheels.

I hope that helps!

I just got back from Woking as well, and agree that the silver cars look fantastic. The two biggest suprises for me though where the White and Orange cars, never a fan of either colour but the 12C's looked fantastic in these, especially with the carbon fibre side gills...
Sorry i dont have pictures to share..

Does the Ice Silver appear blueish in the flesh?

IIRC Graphite is a Grey, not a Silver.

Ok - Results may vary, but here's an attempt to photograph the five silver McLaren colors. I apologize that the Standard Silver with Flash is out of focus.

I don't have much luck attaching photos here (maybe too large), so here's a link to the photobucket.

Silvers

Please note your results MAY VARY! When taking these pics, I adjusted the photo until what I was seeing on my camera's viewscreen matched (as near as possible) what I was actually seeing. I can already tell it looks a bit different when viewed on my PC.

The bottom line is that you really have to go see a sample case, where you can walk around with colors and see them in various lighting conditions. Otherwise you'll never really know! C'mon - you know you want to make the trip!
