Six MP4-12C at Millbrook Today

Anyone know why McLaren had 6 MP4-12Cs up at Millbrook testing grounds today? Cars were being run hard and it was clearly not a "client day" ? Several of the cars had the protective tape over them on the front and rear bumpers and side skirts but a few did not. Chris Goodwin was one of the drivers.

Are more changes in the works?

I'd vote for this most likely. Maybe the closer location was unavailable?

Every car should arrive with some number of shakedown miles - I'd guess in the neighborhood of 100 or so - in order to give them that 'all systems go' stamp of approval.

I would bet McLaren do all they can to ensure the cars are fully protected during those times and in transport to your retailer.

Yeah - it seems they purchased all the blue painter's tape 3M made this year.

I've noticed the price steadily increasing at Home Depot over the past few months.
