I know it varies from dealer to dealer but has anybody gotten a 720 service quote from long island. Have a 720s spider on the way curious about what to expect

Plan on $2-3k per year depending on what fluids need changed etc. McPhilly told me that all of the McCars are similar in maintenance cost.

Didn't 720s go to every two year or is that just for oil change while other things still need to be addressed annually?

Thats what I heard too but my dealer told me no. Any current 720 owners that can attest to this.

My coupe just went in for its annual service last month. Bill was $1776.13. It says “1st year maintenance service including oil and filter service, brake fluid service, cabin pollen filter service, wipers and washer solvent replacements and required mechanical inspections “.

Sounds about right from what dealers told me. $1700 oil change basically. Actually in line with other brands.

How are the other consumables: Rotors, Pads, tires doing ? anyone has some numbers on how often to change them with normal (street) use ?

I just heard the numbers from APEX and that their Ringtaxi 720s is now on the 3rd set of rotors and about 10-11th set of pads at 36.000km which cost them about 100.000 Euro in the first year, but that is of course permeant usage of the car at the limit - while I am pretty sure a normal used street 720s would not requite a change of rotors for many years if used 5000-7500km p.a. on normal streets ... they also need a full new set of tires about every 850-900 km which to my knowledge should last about 7.000-8.500km for normal usage

I paid a little under $2k for my 720S coupe annual service.
$2k? Ouch. I guess I'm spoiled for getting free annual maintenance for 4 years. At that price we need some good qualified independent Mclaren service options.

US market is 1year/10k mile interval. I also saw the 2 year thing and got excited till I texted my sales manager and he said in the US it's for warranty purposes...

I clearly got excited on that. It's dumb to change oil once a year at the cost they charge and only drive say 3k a year.

There was a thread on a guy in NY area who can do it. But I ain't taking chances on not taking to dealer during warranty period.

If I have an out of warranty 12c, hell yeah its going to this guy.

going to go to my first service in April. Have 3.5k miles on 720. We do need to service every year? Seems excessive if you drive only 3-5k per year... synthetic is usually every 10k miles. Am i wrong?

You're not driving enough if you only put 3k miles.

And if buying $300K+ car, 1500 is a drop in the bucket.
I am embarrassed to admit that mine only has 1800 miles on it. I agree with you that the service charge is a drop in the bucket. I was complaining to someone about the $1700 charge and they looked at me and said if you can afford the car you can afford the service charge. They were correct, but still seems excessive for something that other companies charge $500 or less for. ;). When I had my Huracan it was the same price. My 488 had the service included but good luck getting a loaner car from them. lol.

At MacSF I get a loaner whenever one is available. Or if they don’t have one but I want work done on my schedule anyway they’ve dropped me off/picked up as far as 20 miles away.

I’ve always been happy with their service department - Dan has been awesome.

Thanks!

Z.
