Anyone catch the movie RUSH yet? I have not been abot to make the 2 pre. screenings locally due to schedule conflicts.

Alot of good first impressions on other boards. Looking for some input from the McLaren crowd.

Hoping to catch it in the next week or so.

am going tonight... at the missus request...
they had two people faint at the premier and six people at the preview cos the scenes regarding niki's accident... all male for the avoidance of doubt.. !
the 'toxin specialists' paid a visit to the cinema to check that there wasn't a gas leak as they were so confused about the number of people becoming ill at the same time...

Our authorized dealer in Singapore invited and pampered several of us owners to watch the movie premiere in Platinum Suites complete with Champagne and dinner on Wednesday evening 2 days ago. It was an awesome gesture on their part! Great movie to watch!

We hosted a private VIP viewing at Fashion Island here in Orange County last night complete with meals, open bar, refreshments, and snacks. Our employees and clients absolutely loved the private theatre just for us with stadium seating and ridiculously comfortable seats. We HIGHLY recommend everyone go and watch the movie. We're hoping this movie paves the way for more automotive-focused cinemas. Class act with great action, suspense, and attention to detail.

You guys ROCK! I wish our local dealer had the foresight to plan something similar!:mad:

P.S. I thought the Movie was Good but not Great. 7-8/10. It is very historically accurate but the character development isn't as much as I had wished. Also - felt that the CGI for the tracks was too similar, As if all the footage was done on the same track and then the images/surroundings were changed via CGI.

I liked the story and the acting, but the action scenes were lame IMO. Not much in car footage, and when there was, it was brief. I could have made a better action movie by putting a Go-Pro in one of my cars, and driving around a track. :rolleyes:

So being the OP I had an opportunity to go see RUSH this weekend. My 2 thums up were;

One Thumb up ..Wife acutally offered to go. Coming from a woman who cant sit still for 45 min. a 2 hour+ movie was going to be a issue. This seemed like a loaded offer either to cost me a pair of shoes or some sort of shopping ! To my surprise she really enjoyed it, held her attention. One thumbs up !! And it did not cost me anything !!

Two thumbs up..I really enjoyed it as well. I would have to admit with others that I was expecting alot more of the "race" action and was not too pleased with the little engine mechanics fills. I liked the mix of the old race footage. All in all a good movie. The plus factor was the Mrs. enjoying it as well
