Roof rack?

Has anyone used or can recommend a roof rack solution?

I got to relocate for 2 months to mainland Europe and want to take the car with me, but need just a little more space to make it workable ...

Scratching my head on this one. There would be no mounting points on either the coupe or the spider so not sure where a roof rack would mount to. If you’re looking to just carry bikes seasucker may work.

I have used my seasucker on my vehicles.
Its excellent and extremely reliable.

You are a braver man than I my friend... Plus, I would just hyperventilate the whole time driving!! :ROFLMAO:

Hey, Shmee150 used a suction cup system to put a roof box on his SF90 for a very long trip around Europe!

Ultimately it’s a car
If you want more space it’s an easy way to create more.
I love throwing the bike up there and not inside
It’s no big deal
Of course you aren’t speeding at break neck speeds

Am I not seeing this correctly, but putting a roof rack on a 720 coupe would make opening the door impossible.

Have you considering going with a trailer hitch instead? Then you can tow a 4ft to 40ft enclosed trailer and move the entire contents of your house. Considering the high-horsepower of the car, you can probably tow a cruise liner behind you if needed. If interested, I can direct you to a manufacturer who does "Y"-rated (186mph+) trailer tires so just in case you want to do a few launches (with an empty trailer only of course), you can still be 'sporty'...

Seasucker on the back glass seems the route, thanks. Going to try and see how it looks/works/sits.

No option, shipping bags in advance is not possible and after the fact is too late.

I would rather have the car looking weird for one journey so I then get to enjoy it out there for two months than leave it behind and drive around some boring rental shtbox :)

I guess I've become known as the guy not to be taken too seriously...

And when I make a completely seemingly-'straight-faced' suggestion, my comrades-in-auto immediately laugh and discount me...

Well:

Here we have a Lamborghini with a self-made roof rack (perhaps there is a "Popular Mechanics" article you can get the do-it-youself plans from? And he opted for that trailer hitch to maintain that ever-important High Performance-High Practicality "Doug Score"

Yet another Lambo, but this time, towing a trailer full of goats. I am somewhat disappointed by the lack of display of proper DOT signage "LIVE GOATS" or something to that effect...

Have house - will travel. Porsche yet again publicly exudes versatility...though I am put off by the lack of esthetic continuity (gold wheels on car and hideous silver wheels on house)...

But an overachieving F-car, tows not only the trailer, but at least one P-car comfortably in it's enclosed vestibule of security

BUT...

Here is comes....

just like the unexpected winner on American Idol earlier this week...

The award for most ambitious performance vehicle...goes to the outside long shot of long shots....

LOTUS!

as it tows a semi tractor trailer...yet again proving that size doesn't matter when you know how to use it...

I have the “monkey bay” by sea sucker, but no pictures. Which you can hook up a cargo box.

But in that same context, I also do this.

it’s stumplumper alloy, about 35 lbs.
works just fine.

I really like the tripod-like suction cup setup...especially if you have any of the earlier glass roof panels....not only can it hold your kit, but can be used as a cracked-Gorilla-glass-panel-removal-tool...
