Any word or spy pix of 'SGP' edition;)
Words yes... FTA:
According to sources, Wearnes Automotive is preparing to deliver a batch of special cars during September's Singapore Grand Prix weekend. Dubbed the MP4-12C "SGP Edition", the car will feature special livery with an unusual colour (with matching interior) intended to bring to mind the Vodafone-McLaren Mercedes F1 car.

Its Fire Black base colour is complemented by the striking Rocket Red highlights and silver pin-stripes. Apart from ultra-lightweight rims, this special edition will also have front and rear bumpers with more aggressive styling.

Only three of this limited edition McLaren will be available, at a cool S$1.28 million (sans COE) each, but if you want one you'll have to act fast. Two are already spoken for.
Can't wait to see pics. Sounds beautiful.

Very cool, that is how to run a car company and treat your customers, love the reference to Pay It Forward! One thing though Antony Sherriff said that there would not be special editions of the 12C like other manufacturers?

Where did you read or hear this? I'm very interested in this part of McLaren's marketing strategy. Common thought is that they will copy Ferrari by making a 12C "Scud". But, no confirmation as such, yet. Maybe Antony means special editions like all the Gallardo favours. But then, isn't the HS already one? And the Sing special edition as referenced in the article?

This makes me wonder what McLaren will be bringing to Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance in August... maybe the P12, or the 12C Spider?

Man I can't find the video of him talking and describing the rolling chassis on one of the recent reviews / tests of the 12C in California, and you are correct he was referring to the special editions like the Gallardo. He specifically said there would be no special editions like the Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button edition etc. Well the HS was a special order done through MSO, but this SPG is done by McLaren so that is why I brought this up. A Scud version of the 12C I would not consider a special edition in my mind anyways, but just dressing up something with special colours is.
Its a 4x4 - I have seen the mule :D:D:D
LOL! God forbid somebody at McLaren would have to be hung for even thinking that!

OK. Thanks.
"We would make more money by, say, putting carbon brakes on the car. But it is absolutely the wrong thing to do if you don't intend to take the car to the circuit. You just don't need carbon brakes on the road, so we talk people out of it," he said. "In the long term, that approach builds trust."

euh It is rather the opposite

i took steel brake not to have 1500 € to spend each track day (like with the 458) on new pad (and 15000 € per year for the disk)
OK. Thanks.
Alright, I found it... its the link you posted from Fox news, and if you click on Birth Of A Supercar, at the end of the video Sheriff says there would be new cars coming and not something like a Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button edition
