I had McLaren SF custom install a Passport 9500ci radar detector in my 12C. Total cost was $3500. I am very pleased with the professional job they did in fitting the components to the car so that they can hardly be seen. Some pics:


Front radar detector and laser shifters.

Rear detector and laser shifter. It is behind the grille at the very top. The only thing that is visible in this photo is the flash reflecting off of the laser shifter.

They did a very nice job - I'm going to have the same done in May when I'm out of the country for a few weeks. I chose not to have it done on delivery because I was way too impatient to wait the extra 2-3 days for install.

How well does this system work? I mean, do you just never worry about a ticket, ever? What about instant on radar?

While some may claim to have protection against Instant On, the only REAL protection from IO is if there's sufficient traffic that you get a warning when they zap a car in front of you. Doesn't have to be a LOT of traffic. But it basically means if the road is totally empty you're toast if they have IO.

Not at all. And the inexpensive plastic piece in the front that was cut in order to fit the parts in flush could be easily replaced if you decided to remove the detector.

I have an MP4 on order for July and am going to order a mirror in advance of the car to have the 9500ci display installed in it. Anyone want the mirror on the car when it arrives??

Anyone had the 9500ci installed on their 570s yet? Im hoping to jump into a 570s in the next couple weeks working something out now (Very excited). can the dealers install it or will i have to find a after market type of place to do it? Just be nice to have a one stop shop and be done with it. Thanks

I have installed a Max 360 with a Blend Mount on my 570S. I know it's not the 9500ci you're asking about but if you want more pictures, I'll be happy to provide.
