Today's conundrum:
Never had this before .... Engine off with ignition in the 'ON' mode, there is a short rapid buzz sound coming from behind the driver's side tail lights (LHD car). It only lasts for a half a second, but it keeps firing off every minute or so with a short burst.
Is this an actuator or a pump in that location ?? This is the same exact noise you would hear when you have the ignition 'on' and you step on the brake pedal (a buzz sound) before you hit the start button.

Could be the fuel pump priming the system. Can you record and post it?

It is the EXACT same noise I hear if I step on the brake pedal (ignition on/engine not running)...Is the noise being heard the fuel pump being primed ??
Does the fuel pump just spontaneously prime every minute or so with the ignition on (but, the engine not running) ? I never noticed this previously.
